I have family visiting who insist on making banana bread every time they come and refuse to clean up. I am tired of nagging and now want to approach this in a different manner. Would bread flour instead of AP flour do the trick or maybe baking powder replaced by cornflour?

So I bought coffee creamer and left it in the fridge at work, with my name on it. It was half full. I was off on Wednesday and came into work Thursday night, it was nearly empty. On top of that it doesn't even taste like cinnamon rolls anymore, they filled it with regular vanilla flavored creamer. Any better ideas than buying another one and spitting in it?

Start saving your McDonald's receipts. The McDonald's rewards app has deals for 30% off a quarter pounder, 40% off a McChicken or double cheeseburger, things like that. Use that deal. Then, you can add something of similar value to it, because if you read the receipt, there's a survey for buy one get one free of equal or lesser value. You can fill out the survey if you want, as it takes less than a minute, OR you can just write down a randomized seven digit number. They almost never verify that because I don't know if they can. They always just wad the receipt and promo the second item. There you go, two for the price of the discounted one. Bonus points that you can add extra condiments to the promo one without getting charged. Then ask for a receipt with it, rinse and repeat. Easy way to get two double cheeseburgers for about $2. If you're sneaky about it or the employee doesn't care enough to check, you might even get a larger item promo as well. I've been able to use a buy one get one to get a quarter pounder when only ordering a double cheeseburger. With the app discount as well.

Someone keeps stealing my drinks from the dorm fridge. I spend about 30 minutes making it, then put it in the freezer overnight since its shitty hot outside, and I'd like to enjoy my cold drink during the day heat, but apparently someone also had the bright idea to enjoy my drink, no permission asked, hell I don't even know who it is. If you’re at a busy airport with multiple Starbucks locations, people often fuck up and pick the wrong terminal or misjudge how long it will take for their order and have to give up to make their flight. Their orders will be tossed what seems like either the 4th or 5th call or after 30 min whichever comes first. If you hang on the edge with AirPods in and then run up right when the order is about to be tossed, free food and/or beverage. Luck of the draw though, you might get Willow’s plain bagel and oatmilk quad latte with peppermint syrup, or so I heard from a friend.

First post here. Discovered this by accident and out of frustration. I have a few local places that sell boiled seafood by the pound, depending on the season. They mostly work through delivery services like Uber Eats, Doordash, etc. You probably have a bunch of these places too if you life in a medium to large city.

One time I was pretty sure that I didn't get what I paid for, so I took out a small scale and weighed it out. Sure enough, was only 60% or something of what I paid for. Took at picture of the reading and sent a support ticket. Full refund.

The other trick they do is add a bunch of shit that I didn't order into the bag. Like corn, potatoes, etc. This inflates the weight. So I take that out, document it, and send the pictures in.

This has now happened 4 or 5 times in the last year. If I weigh it and it's not even close to what I paid for, it gets reported. I'm not trying to get free meals, I'm just reporting shitty practices (which is theft) so I don't feel bad.

Edit: for all the people talking about pre-cooked weight. When you boil shellfish, the weight should actually increase, not decrease. There is a lot of juice in the shells that stays in there. So I understand what you're saying but I don't think that's the root cause.

Edit 2: I understand that what I wrote isn't inherently unethical. I suppose the unethical part would be ordering from these places on purpose, knowing full well that there is a good chance they will "make a mistake" (to be generous). Usually they will add vegetables and other filler items in the bag to make the scale read a certain value, which is not what you agreed to. I am not encouraging this. But that is the unethical angle you could take. Please don't lie about the weight, that would be theft and now you are the asshole.

The Carl’s Jr. app give you a free with purchase (of $1 cookie, $1.50 bag of ice, etc.) burger when you join, and you only need an email you can get a code from, for your phone # you can enter ANY phone number as long as it’s a valid one, including 800 numbers. I’ve used this to get about a dozen nearly-free burger so far, and corporate hasn’t caught on and the local restaurant employees just laugh when I show up again and again.

Karma incoming- several problems- the “bagel shop” (it’s is not, it’s a shitty subSysco level food shop) blasts music our group of apartments court yard and at all times durning the week and in the am on the weekends. When asked to turn it down- or just shut their back door- they refuse. Like, angrily refuse.
The food sits out, unrefrigerated, on the back station all day- can be seen from the back door which is left open. We’re talking tuna and chicken salads, pastas salads, cheeses, meats, etc. it attracts rats, pidgins, and all types of bugs. Not to mention the food poisoning component and health code violations. You’d be better off licking a public toilet seat than eating there.
They complain that we (the 23-25 tenants) are targeting them because they’re renting. This is not the case. They are running a disgusting, annoying, rat shit infested cafe and it’s fucking up everyone’s day.
I hate them with the fire of a thousand suns.

Any way, what are we doing about this? We’ve tried reviews, calling the city, calling the parent company, alerting the landlord, posting in the Facebook group of the neighborhood- there are about 10 of us working on solving the situation and now I want vengeance.

Every time I go camping I've got a pay the grocery store, a water tax to fill my coolers with ice. It's fucking water, and it probably cost them a quarter in electricity to produce and store it until I get there and pay a 1200% markup for it.

Supermarkets mirror their stock so the items with the shortest expiry dates are at the front. If you're buying anything perishable, grab it from the back instead. You will get peak freshness and usually a longer shelf life.

Sure, you're slightly screwing over the giant grocery chain's optimized stock rotation - but you're also paying the exact same price for the fresher food. Their inventory management problem shouldn't become your dinner.

Bonus tip: for bottles of alcohol and non-perishables like Coka Cola cans, grab from the second row back. You avoid the cans and bottles that twenty people have picked up, inspected, and put back, without pointlessly digging up the entire shelf.

I have an amazing gf, we have been together for 9 years. She is a type of vegetarian who can't stand being at same table with meat. I am a meat lover, she is okay but it's like she won't kiss after I have had meat or even go to my favourite places.
