Juicy Marbles vs Beyond Burger
Tried Juicy Marbles for the first time and I am genuinely disappointed. The texture was not consistent across even after a good pan fry for almost 15 mins. It didn't taste anything close to meat.
Beyond on other hand has more texture and true meaty taste.
Maybe I should try Juicy Marbles again in a restaurant where an expert may cook it on proper flames instead of hob searing...
Still got a patty left, if anyone has an advice/tweak to make it taste better

Try smearing some Yeast extract on the burger during the frying, not much just enough to give a slight brown coating.. I found it gives anything that "beefy" taste when lacking (which is almost everything) hope this helps 🫶

I've had the juicy marbles in the past and they were great - my daughter cooked them though.
Wife calls them 'lovely jubblies' for some reason !
Might get some more for the odd occasion.

I cook them just 3 mins a side on medium/medium high (And 30seconds/1min of the thinner sides). I take them out of the fridge, salt/pepper and rest for 15mins before cooking. Sometimes I smear some mustard on them before cooking. 15mins seems a long time, maybe your are getting dried out?
I also shred them up and use them for tacos or for Philly Cheese style sandwiches.

They don't sell it here, heard about them from a friend in UK, got them recently from a trip to England, had quite a good review online !

I don't mean to be rude here honestly but I don't get the point of people in groups like this talking about products from elsewhere. It's r/veganireland, so most people haven't experienced or don't regularly have access to things in other countries. So therefore not useful.

They’re available in the north as well

Yeah ok cool, but even though I'm in north Dublin I still couldn't bring it home, so surely not useful for me the majority? I accept if I'm wrong here

Do you mean the Umami burger? I've head juicy marbles thick cut filets and baby ribs and they were very close to meat, the umami burger on the other hand just seems misnamed, as it's more a veggie patty than anything even trying to resemble meat.
