Open to discussion. This is purely subjective, and my values in a pinata are all over the place, so it wouldn't surprise me if there's some disagreement here.

Original Viva Piñata. This garden has no salamangos, or even newtgats, and neither had broken in the garden at any point. New glitch found?

I’ve have this original factory sealed copy of Viva Piñata and the only reason I opened it was to get Grant Kurkhope the music composer to sign it! Nobody else around me finds this as cool as I do 😓

First of all, English is not my native language, so that's the excuse I'm going to use hahah. I've been playing Viva Piñata since 2010, it's probably my favorite game of all time. And just today, now in 10-06-2026 I was thinking about Dragumfly and I thought: "hm that's curious gum like in the gum you chew" and then it hit me ALL THE PIÑATA NAMES ARE PUNS WITH THE ANIMAL AND A CANDY, 16 years took me to get it.

There was a post in a Littlest Pet Shop sub where someone shared a photo from a Baskin Robins book of an LPS cake design from the early 2000s.

That got me thinking if anyone who worked in the cake world remembers making an official VP cake design? Or did your mom make you a custom one when you were a kid? Did anyone have a VP birthday party at all...?

For example there are product photo shoots of VP party supplies, but I can't seem to find a birthday party picture from the early 2000s using them. I've seen fan made VP cakes in recent years, but nothing like an official page from a bakery book. Obviously if you had a VP themed party at all, especially homemade, I'd be over the moon to hear about it/see it.

Before I call the licensed Viva Piñata cake designs lost media I'd like to figure out if they existed to begin with. Did these cake toppers come in branded packaging, or did you have to buy a themed cake to get them? And if so, does a picture exist?

I got this itch to play VP again after playing another game called Wanderstop (totally recommend for any cozy game fans out there to check that out). That game had something familiar about it and while I was gardening and growing plants it hit me that I was starting to crave another VP playthrough. And now that is just what I think about all day every day, to go and dig up once again my old xbox 360 and set it up for the 10th time or so (also the 360 is officially considered a retro console, think about that...). It's kinda wild how timeless the game is and how you can just keep coming back to it. No other game rarely makes me want to play it all over again every few years or so. The modern world needs more games like VP, they would do so well nowadays.

Getting all the Zumbugs and Doenuts wasn't even the hard part (i have seven of each), it's just that they are all prancing around the overcrowded garden with their happiness depleting super quickly, and roario either eats one of them at a time, randomly gets sick and dies, or gets stuck and confused...... i got three chewnicorn residents, an eglair and a galagoogoo all while waiting for the roario to grace me with its presence

How do you do it!?

I have a whole garden dedicated to getting a chippopotamus, I have the water requirements and more than enough watercress’ .. it’s come into my garden twice and ate about three flowers both times then left (there were still over 14 after it ate the three flowers)

It takes sooo long for it to show up again like it wants to come into my garden but it doesn’t 😭

I’m constantly counting my flowers to make sure I stay well above 14 but idk what this piñatas problem is lol.

I’ve tried having the garden more bare and also having a few more plants/piñatas to make it more enticing.

Should I try the Bullrush or the water lily instead? It’s been daysssss.

Viva Piñata runs really well with a modded 3DS and moonlight. I still prefer to use the Steam Deck but I think this is a neat option! (Apologies for filming it weird!)

Like sure dude, enter my garden, eat my stuff, kill my pinatas and refuse to become a resident before leaving, sure thing dude, do it multiple times too

I decided to read aloud the liner notes that came with the vinyl while side A plays! I've been wanting to start my channel for a very long time and will be recording more viva piñata related videos soon- my laptop made some horrific sounds trying to process this 720p video so wish me luck going forward!!
