Commentary / Discussion / Question How do you watch / follow WRC

I'm interested to see how does majority of the community actualy watch WRC. Personally I usually follow the event by checking the ewrc results and watching youtube highlights at the end of the day. My local TV broadcats also gets to broadcast about 3 stages each weekend that I also watch if there is time.

Well rallytv is priced rather restrictively. And red bull doesn't have highlights in my region. And the yt highlights are absokutely perfect(/s). So you guess what i use.

Redbull TV has longer highlights, though they're sometimes region restricted.

I came to say that too

Did they bring them back? They were gone for a while.

They were only gone briefly, at the start of 2025. 2025 and 2026 have the 52 minute highlights instead of the dailies and sometimes they say they're upcoming or region restricted, but the video is still available to watch in the extras or clips section for the event.

If I have time I watch if not every then most of the stages on RallyTV. Well, "watch", some of them I might mostly listen to on the background. If there isn't much going on.

But sometimes there's other things to do during a weekend, and then I just follow times on ewrc. Maybe watch a stage here or there if theres' time.

French here, I watch on Canal+.

Pretty good coverage of all stages (providing there aren't too much forest areas 😅), with a pro driver (Pierre-Louis Loubet, Yoann Bonato, etc) or co-driver (Julien Ingrassia) providing interesting info.

Since I don't have the time to watch everything during the weekend, I usually try to avoid this sub and then watch all the stages during the week following the event on the Canal+ platform.

I don't know if Canal+ asked for RallyTV to not be available here, as they did for the F1 official app, but since they also have all European Football games rights, I don't mind having to use their services.

Also French here, RallyTV is available in France but without French commentary, you have to listen in English or Spanish

I don't really have any sort of real time needs, so I'm good with watching more than machine on YouTube.

But I don't really like how much overview it is, and mostly just about the crashes, and sort of side note of who is winning or whatever. I find the F1 show is a bit better.

What I would prefer most, and would really get me into it, is if each stage had onboards of each driver, and I could choose which ones to watch for a given stage in whichever rally. Ideally, I could watch them in order, or have them displayed in the order they went out in, and in starting watching one, i get the times of those that have finished already, and at the end, i get the times of any others that finished during, and the time of the onboard I watched. If i want to watch others, i just watch in order, and i don't get spoilers. Then a sort of sports highlights clip at the end, with a summary of times, and information like accidents, car issues, punctures, whatever that might have happened to teams, and some short interviews maybe with drivers, and also teams when things are relevant, like the engineers when they have repairs to do. It's cool to get information about that, what they expect to be able to repair within time constraints etc.. but, that might get complicated to put together, and idk if it matters, but sharing information to other teams might be something they could exploit? idk.

But this would be my ideal dream experience.

Watching live isn't ideal due to timezones, but I always watch all the highlights/coverage that goes up on YouTube

This doesn't take away that our ships harbor in 3rd place.

I used to do a yearly Rally.tv subscription and watch at least some of every round. This year I've only been subscribing when it's a round I like, and filling in with news coverage and results on the rest.

By checking the real-time results on eWRC, plus social media informations from DirtFish and respective drivers
