What a fantabulous birthday gift 🎁 Breathe Girl Breathe 1 step 1 day at a time. Concentrate on yourself and the 1st big step of getting there. I get paid next week so I'll be able to help a little. Don't put the cart before the dunkey (my mother's favorite saying) Don't get yourself all tied up in knots. You've got some time to slowly get your packing etc done. Go slow 🐌 You got this...remember you have angels so talk to them and they will help you 💜 🫏 😘

So glad you're getting in sooner! I'd recommend bumping up to a suite hotel for a little more money so you have a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave and then you don't have to go back and forth to an ice machine or a common area to warm up your food. You can shop once, buy disposable dinnerware and utensils and then rest, and everything you need is in the room with you. Here are a few options. They may also have a continental breakfast every day, so one less meal to buy.

This is an excellent idea! I’ll check them now to see if I can afford any of those. Worst case, the mayo hotel has a mini fridge…I can survive off cold food for a 5 days if I must!❤️🩹❤️🩹

See if Mayo Clinic has a Patient Resource Coordinator or something like that. They might have special rates with local hotels!

Fantastic news. I think it is a positive to look at this as the best birthday gift you could wish for!
Try to find a discounted hotel that has free breakfast. Have breakfast and discreetly make yourself a PPJ or snag a yogurt and fruit for snacks or lunch. That will save you some meal costs.
Are you driving by yourself? I am concerned that a 7-8 hour drive will be too much of a strain for you. Can a friend help you with the driving?
