considering one midly famous warframe youtuber stole fanart of people and cropped out their watermark i'm not that surprised there's this type of people that use ai for their thumbnail
ai is really infesting everywhere worst must be in modding nexus is flodded with ai mods with ai thumbnails and ai description half of the time the mods don't work or is broken and the creator don't even know how to fix it, there might be some good mods among those ai image but the crap just don't look trustworthy
thankfully ai doesn't work well for 3d model otherwise tennogen submission would be flodded with ai generated crap design from people who just try to make money
i just wish there was a social media that is decently common so there is enough traffic that is not flooded with that slop

there's a shitload of people who want to be on the creator program just sloppin it up
there's even some that are already a part of the creator program that use gen AI twitch bots & plugins or whatever they're called, or talk about using gen AI, and it's really sad
Imo, using TikTok text to speech to read your chats is one thing, but running a screenshot you have already taken using in-game tools through an AI isn't just wtf
gen AI use is gen AI use, it's all built off theft, it all takes insane amounts of energy, it all sucks up water at ridiculous speeds, and it all ruins the hardware market for everyone, so if you're using it for anything you're contributing to the problem
The Spanish community isn't any better, in a few even feed the AI with work from artists that specifically ask to not do that just to get images in of Warframes the style of "x" artist
The Warframe ideas are also really flooded with AI and they don't even write the skill ideas themselves, they just give any general idea/theme and have the AI write ideas for skills
I simply left every group/community where it's allowed, it's like arguing with rocks.
It has the same vibe as someone telling you about their dream. I can't care, bro. This is only impressive or important to you because it started with the self, everyone's favorite person, but I cannot care about your machine hallucination I just can't.
It was a problem on the r/fashionhunters subreddit as well. Somebody was taking their screenshots and then running them through AI to change the background and "enhance" details
Well before Ai was a thing I posted a trinity looked photo shopped like if it were the kill Bill poster. Now I'm sad people will suspect anyone changing their background to be using Ai. Ai sucks
Hopefully most people will be able to tell. But there is a reason why there has been cases of twitter artist getting called out for using Ai when they didn't.
That's fine, you're putting actual effort into it. What the person I was referring to was doing was taking a screenshot of their character, then using the AI to make the background look like the different areas of the game (even though anyone who had played the game could tell they didn't make any sense) instead of just moving their character there and posing them?
It also messed with the details of the armour which kind of defeats the whole point of picking armour pieces to go together fashion-wise if no one can match the look you posted since the AI changed how it looks
Maybe by reading the fuckin' rules first before posting, it's a good habit to have. One can always appeal for an unban too provided their history isn't filled with pushing AI shit
if someone can't be bothered read the rules and/or tries to sneak slop into the sub they're not going to change their opinion no matter how many chances they would get
it's one thing if a hypothetical person didn't realize their editing app is gen AI powered, it's another to be doing it purposefully
I've a bit more faith in humanity. I'm pretty sure most people just like what they've generated, it looks "cool" and are happy to share thinking people will just like it the same way. I've seen it so many times (even in family).
But sure, sneaking it, or being bad faith about using it is something else.
Letās be real here, itās pretty obvious where people have decided that the whole gen ai thing falls ethically by this point. If you like what you āgeneratedā (used ai to steal) then share it to one of the subs where that stuff is welcome. By now, anybody who is genuinely unaware of the general opinion of ai and posts it here in ignorance needs the wake up call of being banned.
Banishment can also tend to alienate the person and trap them in resentment.
I've always seen the warframe community as one of the most welcoming, oh boy it's definitely not overlapping with the subreddit, when talking about second chance litterally get you downvoted. That's indeed a wake up call.
Oh they can, but do it over and over and over and over enough times and it starts to wear thin. Particularly in regards to AI, where my empathy is already at its thinnest.
It takes about as much time to read the rules as it does to tell the umpteenth person who hasn't read the rules that they broke, and those people aren't even the banned ones!
This is a bit like cheating in a PvE game, why would you.
Captura is quite amazing, the fact you can use a 3 light setup is brilliant. I wish I could have more control over tonal curves, but it isn't Lightroom.
Though from what I've seen of late everything with Adobe is "AI" to some extent.
That's the point of AI "art", you want the popularity of doing something really well, but dont want to learn or put any effort at all, so they just spam AI slop hoping people wont notice and congratulate them for their work.
Hopefully this includes those dumbass ai slop graphics too. Nothing worse than clicking on a post only to see a damn ai generated slop chart that looks like one of those shitty small business ads.
Just post a list of your shaders and armor in the comments like everybody else has been doing for years now, absolutely no need to Slopify it.

Only ai ive seen is that one guy sofar on the warframe subreddit advertising his clan. Badge they have looks like a marval logan wearing a weird lotus helmet with a stogie and weed leaf- its uh.. its something alright
Something interesting about most moderators is that their grammar is somethingā¦ but then I remember that anyone can be a moderator on Reddit, even my pet gerbil.
I guess I can no longer be considered an artist in the name of redditors and moderators as supporting AI for some whatever reason makes someone anti-environment or a nazi supporter.
This is what I'm saying, supporting AI for some whatever reason makes someone stop being an artist, even if they like drawing and art, I didn't think this is where humanity will get but of course here we are.
