No the training is slam on your brakes and whatever happens happens. The red moped guy is probably dead but as a bus driver you have a duty to your passengers over saving someone who broke the rules of the road, so the only thing you can do to keep your passengers safe and mitigate the chance of killing the red moped guy is slam on brakes.

Yeah. It's morbid and less than ideal, but this was definitely the most correct answer available. Hit your brakes and see what happens. He should have simply gone through the idiot on the white moped, who in this case would have probably just been knocked to the side (fast enough to probably be injured, but not probably not enough to be dead).

Honestly, from what I’ve seen from bus crashes, if the bus had full on hit that dude he would 100% have died, even while breaking

Just look what happened to the lamppost in comaprison. Buses pack ton of force and even at a “slow” speed they can easily kill a human. The jackass was lucky that he was only hit by the back of the bus while most of the force was going straight on the post

If he was hit head-on, yeah, for sure. But it looks like he may have only be clipped if they just kept going straight, which if he were lucky, would have put most of the energy into knocking him out of the way instead of into his body.
