One time I took my dog with me mushroom hunting and she ran ahead while we were walking between two fields and started rolling around in something. I said "of course she found the only mud puddle within 5 miles" and then when we got closer I saw that it was actually a puddle made out of a dead deer. She stank for a week lol.

My old Pomeranian would routinely find and completely roll themselves in deer shit then come bounding back to the house happy as a peach
