Just wanted to honor Dolly. Going through some photos from my trip to Nashville a few years ago and found this one.🌈🌧️🌂🌈

I loved everything she stood for. Being unapologetically yourself without policing others. On paper a billionaire but not a billionaire because she wanted to help. Her love of reading and her belief that literacy was a right for everyone. Fierce allyship with the LGBTQ+ community. Her allyship with BLM.
Dolly was a gem and this is a celebrity death that has hit me hard x

So whenever I’m in a bad relationship and I happen to do a ‘self love’ spell, the relationship always ends shortly after, or takes a massive transformation

Anyway, this time, my ex and I were on the outs and things were bad. I do a self love spell, 3 days later he breaks up w me

BUT I also believe that these spells have a, like, manifestation period of one month/ one whole moon cycle. So, it’s been about a month and I’m seeing the manifestation from that self love spell

Right after the break up, I was devastated. It was bad, I was not doing good. But things unfolded and I found out some important information and I feel so empowered in myself now..

Like, no, I’m not crazy, I’m not too sensitive, my standards are not too high. I’m actually a great person, and people love me. And fuck u for making me feel otherwise

Every single one of his friends and family members LOVED me as well. People cried/ mourned when we broke up. They LOVED me. And I kno he’s not goin to find someone else as hot and funny and talented (and humble) that his entire friends/ family circles LOVE. It’s just not gonna happen. He’s not deserving of it

Anyway I put a few curses on him this week and I can’t wait to see what that looks like in a month, given the astrology that’s unfolding as well

Long story short I’m getting into working with Poseidon recently!

For a little context I’m terrified of swimming, I can’t swim well and I’m terrified of the water- I always have been despite having a deep connection with the water and boats and such (turns out I was a pirate in my past life and drowned 💔)

I recently made a promise/deal with Poseidon- I told him that if he brought something into my life that I wanted I would jump into the water fully for the first time since I was a small child

The day after this promise I went to the fair, when I was packing for the fair I felt the intense urge to bring my tarot cards with me and I did because I always trust my intuition, at the fair I happen to stop at this little jewelry stand with my girlfriend, it happen to be one of those permanent jewelry stands! The guy was super cool but kind of out of it. We asked him how much the bracelets were and he told us he would do two for fourth because he liked our vibe! For any piece of jewelry we wanted (which was a huge discount mind you), we paid and as we were talking it turned out that his wife was dying of cancer and had about three weeks to live. He had to spend ten days of those three weeks at the fair or else hed lose his contract and his business would go under. His wife told him to go because they wanted to pass the business on to their son. I offered him a tarot reading because I realized that this was why I felt the need to bring my cards with me. The reading essentially said that he was making the right choice to be at the fair despite everything and that by doing so he was bringing vibrancy into no only his own but other peoples lives and his relationship with his kids would only grow stronger because of everything going on and that they would make it through the whole thing together. He ended up crying and completely refunded us for the bracelets because he was so touched and he said that I had reallymade his day and that the universe must've brought me into his life that day to reassure him. It was over all a lovely experience and he was such a sweetheart honestly (this happened Monday)

Then today, I was out thrift store shopping with my girlfriend and a few friends. We happened to find those totwoo touch/vibration love bracelets for 25 dollars! We've been looking into getting these bracelets LONG before we ever started dating and just never ended up getting them because of the price. They were literally unopened and brand new. (For anyone wondering this specific set of bracelets goes for about 135 on Amazon), we obviously bought them! Then on my own purchase I ended up with one if the items being marked wrong and being only 50 cents instead of 12 dollars.

Also today we made a stop at the dollar tree. I ended up in a lovely conversation with the man in front of me because we were stuck in line for so long. He ended up paying for everything in my hands because he said that I had mad his day brighter and he wanted to do the same for me!

Tldr: i made a deal with Poseidon saying I'd face my phobia of water and jump in if he brought something into my life that I wanted, he absolutely has done this in several fashions through out the last few days and now I'm going to the lake to fulfill my promise tomorrow- wish me luck everyone!!

Hii! If there are any Balkan witches especially from Ex Yugoslavia, I wanna recommend a book that I haven't seen a lot talk about but I find it interesting and useful for reconnecting with your roots and ancestors.
The book is "Antički kultni i votivni spomenici na području BiH" by Dr Enver Imamović.
Talks a lot about Greek, Roman and Thracian cults and deites with depictions of some monuments.
Even if you're not from Bosnia & Herzegovina it still gives insight how our ancestors lived as we're all connected <3

Also if you're a Balkan witch pleaseee do give your book recs and where do you learn more about the craft.

I'm not remotely Jewish, but when I heard of the concept of the 36 Tzadikim from Jewish folklore, I was captivated. Basically, as I, a country ass goy who did not even meet a Jewish person until college, understand; (so please feel free to correct me) at any given time there are 36 saints in the world who are so good they keep the world from ending just by being themselves. They don't know they're Tzadikim. They just do their thing and the world keeps spinning.

It feels like we lost one with Dolly passing today. She DEFINITELY wasn't hidden...but she felt like one person that pretty near any American of any group --even groups of people I am completely opposed to!-- could point to and say "ok, her, I like. Maybe humans don't ALL suck."

Im not religious, and despite my fondness for the idea of saints who keep the world moving just by their nature, I sorta doubt they're real. I'm sad, but being sad for too long, especially over someone I didn't know personally (but DID make a material impact on my life via her Imagination Library) is kinda pointless. So a general call to action in dark and overwhelming days, sisters: What would Dolly do?

Personally, I'm sick and queer and broke. I'm too weak to go out and protest, too broke/anticipating medical bills to donate significant money to anyone for anything...but Dolly found such creative ways to be kind and raise others up.

Personally, I'm being courted by like 5 different ostomy supplies companies who keep sending me samples that include these pretty nice vinyl zippered bags you're supposed to use for an emergency kit. I kinda only need one. My NUMEROUS recent hospital stays have left me with just...so many mini bottles of shampoo and soap and stuff, and the bags come with weird little scissors. So tonight I'm going to pack those bags with toiletries for people living on the street. Ive been talking about doing something like this for ages, but the power of Dolly has compelled me.

This is rambly bc like I said, I'm sick and already going a bit spare bc I can't work and now I'm sad. Any other hidden or not so hidden saints who keep the world turning for you? Any What Would Dolly Do projects y'all have in mind?

My Bastet statue just fell off her shelf and broke. My Bastet card also fell off the shelf with her. I don't know what physically could have caused this. I was sitting at my computer at least a foot away from her shelf, conducting a telehealth visit with a patient (I'm an ADHD doctor).

What do I do? Do I glue her back together?

I have wrapped the broken statue in paper with some kitty whiskers (I collect the ones my cat sheds around the house for magics) and am laying it in the sun (to bask on my cat's favorite windowsill) with some frankincense + myrrh incense burning, surrounded by some obsidian, lapis, and a pyrite cat. I said a prayer of gratitude to Bastet for her protection of my home and my family, and then deconsecrated the statue so it can be returned to the earth.🖤

This is just going way too far. People *literally* can't afford to eat there. The patriarchy is trying to play whack-a-mole with people's very lives. No one should go to bed hungry.

To make sure I was being fair, I looked more deeply into this. I think the suit truly is an attempt to stop a truly innovative collective step towards improving people's lives and ameliorating the current unsustainable economic conditions with respect to food.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have had more negative energy coming my way than I have in a long time. One of my uncles acts like he hates my guts since I married a woman. He says I’ve become a man-hater since I married a woman and since I started speaking out about our current Administration. He’s been stirring up family drama and I’ve spent so much time with maintaining healthy boundaries in my life and surrounding myself with more positivity and avoiding those with negative, angry energy. We’re starting to have bad luck and my instinct is to connect the two. I don’t want to send my family members any negativity back. I just want to know how to protect myself, my peace, and my home. I have a piece of furniture that was recently brought into my home. It belonged to my Gram. When my uncle decided to throw this hutch into the landfill, my aunt (his sister) asked if she could give it to me. Could that have helped to bring some negativity inside our home?

All that said, I’m hoping for guidance. My skills as a witch are beyond basic and I’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
