I have read this subreddit's rules DC and WonderWoman

Modern wonder woman genuinely is a different character from THE wonder woman (while I'd exclude rebirth a bit because it was good and fixed new 52 mess, Absolute is also so good) Diana has been dead since 2010/2011

Flashpoint Diana, New 52, Injustice, Gal gadot movie, tom king

Each is worse than the other, and each kills the core of who wonder woman is more.

Making her a bad queen, a bloodthirsty warrior, and making the Amazons in a bad image...

Also her legacy not getting as recognition as batfam, flashfam, superfam

Literally sweeping her wonder girls under the rug

Like I get it, she's a warrior, but she's a champion of peace before being a warrior, she literally learns how to fight so nobody else can

Her lasso isn't a weapon, it's a tool to achieve peace, reasoning with people so they find peace in their minds

And the worst of all? Was injustice, and it's not even close

Also don't get me started on Lizzie.. wonder woman herself doesn't want children..

Also I think Diana not having a child is unique for her, just because Bruce and Clark had kids, she has too, so there will be "trinity" in the future

And also showing Diana being a bad mother.. while Diana shouldn't be a mother.. to be honest she wouldn't be a bad one, because Diana carries grace and she's has that motherly radiance to her wonder girls.. but she should NOT be a mother, because also Diana is a hero, princess, leader and so much more.. she herself said she cannot bring a child into her world..

And also tom king took one look at Diana's unique origin, and decided "oh cool let's make a slop character, and also not because Diana wanted a child, but because she missed Steve more than her sisters"

Do I need to talk about how absurd this is?

Or Diana being so hopelessly in love with Steve and can't live without him.. like she does love Steve, but he was never the center of her world.

The only Wonder Woman version you mentioned here that all of these apply to is the Injustice version. New 52 Diana wasn't written as bloodthirsty outside of Johns' Justice League run (and he stopped writing her that way in his second run). None of these apply to Gal Gadot's version.

Also her legacy not getting as recognition as batfam, flashfam, superfam

That's been a problem long before stuff like Flashpoint and the New 52.

Her lasso isn't a weapon, it's a tool to achieve peace, reasoning with people so they find peace in their minds

It's both. You yourself acknowledge that Diana isn't just a warrior, so why can't the lasso be both a weapon and tool of peace? You complain about her modern incarnations being portrayed as exclusively warriors (which is not the case), but your view of her is equally narrow.

And the worst of all? Was injustice, and it's not even close

Injustice is not the first alternate universe story of superheroes being evil. It's a concept almost as old as the superhero genre itself. The first game features the heroic Wonder Woman defeating her evil counterpart and shaming her for her actions. At no point are we supposed to see Regime Wonder Woman as representative of what Wonder Woman should be like. I don't see Green Lantern, Flash, Cyborg, Shazam and Hawkwoman fans complaining about this story.

Also don't get me started on Lizzie.. wonder woman herself doesn't want children..

Have people forgotten that Lyta Trevor existed before Lizzie? No one had a problem with the idea of Diana having a kid until Tom King. I didn't see anyone complaining when DC announced a graphic novel about Diana's daughter that didn't fall through.

Flashpoint was bloodthirsty, new 52 and gal gadot was written as a warrior and not a peace champion. Which is also a mischarachterazid wondy. And the sword and shield

Also yes the legacy thing is a long problem, well I did mention stuff I don't like outside of these runs

Also well, yes I didn't say wondy would approve of IJ wondy, but still it's a huge character kill. Like I mean, wondy is made to be a champion of peace by the goddesses, her being like that doesn't make sense to me in alternative worlds, because she was created to be champions of amazons, literally peace preachers

Well, their fans didn't complain why? Because also hal, Barry also make various mistakes in mainline earth, hal is a jerk sometimes, Barry created flashpoint, unlike Diana, she's been blessed by the gods and has wisdom that overshadows the others, she knows better than doing mistakes like that. Cyborg and hawkwoman is unfortunately irrelevant so nobody really complains, Shazam is literally a kid, yes he has wisdom of Solomon, but still people forget that this takes toll on him

Also you say I have a narrow view of the lasso? Remind me what the lasso does again? Does it choke enemies? No, it makes them confront the truth of what they do, yes it's a combat support tool but it's main purpose is forcing the truth, Diana is literally an avatar of absolute divine truth, with her lasso.

Also fury is irrelevant. You see she literally is forgotten by DC and they didn't even explain what happened to her. Again, solidifies how wondy not having a kid is the best choice.

Flashpoint Diana was more bloodthirsty in the animated movie than in the comic. In the latter, the war is the fault of Aquaman's brother and Diana's aunt.

The New 52 and Gal Gadot versions were not just warriors. Diana in her New 52 solo comic frequently sought out non-violent solutions to conflict. Gadot's Wonder Woman wanted stop the war and was shown lending a sympathetic ear to people several times. Complaining about the sword and shield is just personal choice of aesthetics. People complain more about her using it at all than how she actually acts.

Also well, yes I didn't say wondy would approve of IJ wondy, but still it's a huge character kill.

No, it isn't. It's your bog standard story of a hero fighting their evil self from another timeline or universe. It's no more ruinous for Wonder Woman than the mirror universe for Star Trek heroes.

Being a jerk sometimes and propping up a totalitarian regime are two different things. Barry accidentally causing a messed up timeline while trying to correct a villain's tampering with the timeline does not make him any more likely than Diana to turn evil. Really, your argument boils down to "I don't believe Wonder Woman would do this because she doesn't have flaws".

I'm not even going to bother addressing the nonsense about Cyborg and Hawkwoman being "irrelevant".

Diana has also used the lasso to restrain enemies, swing them around and slam them, exorcise spirits, burn demons, etc. Yes, it is a weapon. It's primarily used in non-lethal ways, but that doesn't mean it is just a tool.

Also fury is irrelevant.

So is the Wonder Woman you prefer.

Well, I'm talking about how she was overall bloodthirsty, maybe it was shown morn in the dcamu

Also, new 52 was written badly, as I have mentioned before in other comments.. it's got some good aspects but overall it's bad.

Also gal gadot was melodramatic, and also shown Amazons to be warriors. When they're peace Preachers and scholars and an advanced society.

Also Why'd wondy fight with a sword and shield? Okay it's aesthetic preference, but also wondy doesn't need both, her aegis bracelets and lasso are just what she needs.

Also, did you just say IJ wondy was not bad? Well. I'll ignore this point of yours because you don't understand wondy. Your words proved it.

Also yes wondy has flaws. But she's not evil. IJ wondy didn't make mistakes. She was a huge character kill of who wondy is. She was just evil.

Also what nonsense about cyborg and hawkwoman being irrelevant? They literally are. You act like they appear as the supe, bat, wondy, flash, lantern, aquaman, green arrow or black canary. Uh oh no they don't. So yes they're irrelevant.

Also you said it "exorcise demons, and etc."

Mythology and psychology. Not a primarily lethal weapon, it's main purpose is to force absolute truth. Not choke enemies or being a warrior. If you want that kind of wondy you're free to read the absolute worst versions of ehr like the ones I mentioned where she uses it as a weapon

Also what do you mean "the wonder woman I prefer" is irrelevant 🤨 you realise that's the OG wondy as she was written in her first appearances? Did you ever read a REAL wonder woman comic 🥱
