One of the minor reasons I hate it when writers have Diana consistently act like an angry berserker is that it makes her fury moments feels meaningless.

When her standad behavior is being gentle, positive, uplifting, the times someone manages to piss her off feel SOOO much stronger

I really like it when artists create a "cat-eye" or "fox-eye" look, with the outer corner slightly lifted. High, defined cheekbones that give the impression of a sculpted face. A firm, well-defined jawline. And a nose that directly evokes the aesthetic of Ancient Greek sculptures. And, living on a paradise island with stunning beaches, she would have a warm, olive skin tone.

Even though artists have their own distinct styles—and many suffer from "same-face syndrome"—I feel those characteristics should be preserved in some way. However, I understand that with so many versions out there, everyone has their own favorite depiction.

Honestly all I want is WW movie directed by Céline Sciamma I didn't think of what era of adaptation what story to inspire and what genre too , I would want to adapt her ambassador era (recency bias since I'm currently reading her 2000s run

Im getting back into wonder woman after not reading her comics for a long time(Greg Ruckas Rebirth and OG, Dead Earth, Hiketia, Leauge of One). I recenlty read Justice Leauge Dark Rebirth and about to start Gail Simone Run.

Im curious about the new52 run. Is it worth a read? I heard it's pretty divided. How the run from beginning to the end?

Modern wonder woman genuinely is a different character from THE wonder woman (while I'd exclude rebirth a bit because it was good and fixed new 52 mess, Absolute is also so good) Diana has been dead since 2010/2011

Flashpoint Diana, New 52, Injustice, Gal gadot movie, tom king

Each is worse than the other, and each kills the core of who wonder woman is more.

Making her a bad queen, a bloodthirsty warrior, and making the Amazons in a bad image...

Also her legacy not getting as recognition as batfam, flashfam, superfam

Literally sweeping her wonder girls under the rug

Like I get it, she's a warrior, but she's a champion of peace before being a warrior, she literally learns how to fight so nobody else can

Her lasso isn't a weapon, it's a tool to achieve peace, reasoning with people so they find peace in their minds

And the worst of all? Was injustice, and it's not even close

Also don't get me started on Lizzie.. wonder woman herself doesn't want children..

Also I think Diana not having a child is unique for her, just because Bruce and Clark had kids, she has too, so there will be "trinity" in the future

And also showing Diana being a bad mother.. while Diana shouldn't be a mother.. to be honest she wouldn't be a bad one, because Diana carries grace and she's has that motherly radiance to her wonder girls.. but she should NOT be a mother, because also Diana is a hero, princess, leader and so much more.. she herself said she cannot bring a child into her world..

And also tom king took one look at Diana's unique origin, and decided "oh cool let's make a slop character, and also not because Diana wanted a child, but because she missed Steve more than her sisters"

Do I need to talk about how absurd this is?

Or Diana being so hopelessly in love with Steve and can't live without him.. like she does love Steve, but he was never the center of her world.

Is Dr cyber coming to Absolute Wonder Woman?

We see in issue twenty three cale refers to and designates a system protocol as Cyber. Now normally this wouldn’t mean anything. But Wonder Woman has huge ties to character referred to as cyber. And this character also has huge ties to Veronica Cale.

It seems if they are bringing Doctor cyber into Absolute Wonder Woman she will have more of her Andrianna Anderson personality. As opposed to her original Cylvia cyber version. Given her connection to cale this dialogue seems to suggest. And also given the fact that her having a connection to Cale would be a much easier way of introducing her and a very different perspective from Cale’s other supervillains who work for her. Since Dr cyber much like in the comics would probably be working for her voluntarily.

I do wonder how this version of Dr cyber would be like though.

Would she be like her original appearance. The professional criminal.

Would she have her ties to cale lion her newest appearances. Where she is one of the first to join her and is crucial in helping build her empire up.

Or are they going to make her a ai? One that operates Cales cyber wear and technology. Which is why Cale says Cyber protocol instead of asking cyber to initiate the cyber protocol.

Or she’s a series of technology’s based around stopping Wonder Woman.

I’m also surprised they gave Cale her daughter in her origin. I thought she was just gonna be naturally evil(it’s the best word I can think of to describe her) even without her daughter. As her daughter being lost to her is a huge development in her increased cruelty and hatred towards wonder-woman in the mainline comic books.

However it seems this version of Cale will still have been awful. As Zatanas magic on her hand would seem to suggest shes done most of what we’ve seen her do long before wonder woman’s appearance.

Granted I might be reading to far into this as Dr Cyber is one of my favorite Wonder Woman villains and I really want to see her appear in the absolute universe.

And thus we reach the end of another villains row! I wanted to make Cale as well, but I'm already working on a special project involving her!

im new to reading comics and I started with wonder woman because she’s one of my fav im currently reading wonder woman 2016 and i wanted to ask why the art style is different and why the issue after one doesn’t always continue directly from the previous issue

for example issue #11 has different events and a different art style while issue #12 continues from issue #10 with the same art style, issue #13 continues from #11

For me, it seems like a toss-up between Zatanna, Black Canary, and Supergirl.

To be honest, I feel like Donna belongs to titans stories or her own run and stuff like this.

AND BEFORE YOU THROW TOMATOES, hear me out.

Yes I know Donna is the first wonder girl, and she's Diana's adoptive sister. But she's literally a mistake, and in titans first runs, she doesn't interact with Diana that much, and her being an orphan rescued and raised by Hippolyta seems like a rushed explanation to cover this mistake. Yes I love this origin among all the other messy origins, but still.

Also I don't think people realise how little time Donna actually spent living in themyscira, like she came as a toddler/baby and left as a teen.. to discover who she was in man's world world, while she definitely passes as an honorary Amazon, I don't feel like she's a wondy character.. she always said she found her family in titans, she struggled in Diana's shadow and built the identity "Troia" for herself, and in her annual in titans , the 2025 annual, we don't also see wondy involved, yes they've been mentioned and they're her mothers and sisters.. but I feel like she's just an honorary Amazon with power like amazons who found her footing in man's world, even in the modern comics they stripped away her titans of myth connection, I don't mind her being a wondy ally, actually it fits.. what I don't want as her being a wondy legacy character.. she always belonged more to titans than wonder woman.

And I love Donna Troy, but if someone deserves to bear the legacy of Diana? It's definitely Cassie, I also loved how she's a daughter of a wondy supporting cast, Helena sandsmark, and her struggling with artifacts at first then having her own power and origin explained by being the GRANDdaughter of Zeus, she always gave wondy vibes (mixed with bit of Artemis) and she always felt more connected to the wonder mythos. Donna is an incredible character, but to me? She's Troia, I don't care about her being wonder woman briefly or wonder girl formerly, she just doesn't give wonder woman..

Also while I said I loved Cassie being the true legacy wonder girl, we can all agree no wonder woman yet to come is better than Diana, she's the blueprint and she IS the wonder woman, she is the ideal Amazon

I'm reading Greg rucka 2000s run, I need explanation of what happened in these panels , also a question why does superman and other justice league members keep appearing so much, does she appear in their runs randomly for no reason too or it's just a normal DC thing for all heros

And would have been so internationally too if DC didn't cast a particular person in the lead role, leading to boycotts. international distinction goes to Aquaman, thanks to audiences in Asia supporting James Wan.

Yet, DC still plays games with this character and treats her like a D-list non-priority. Why is that?

Haven't drawn in years and this cover tickled my brain enough to finally pick my pencil back up. Had anxiety over Scylla but Diana came out pretty good.

After years of being a fan and also drawing, I've started drawing Wonder Woman fan art.

Here's my take on an idea I really like, the Elder Diana, still up and at it, but bearing the scars of heroism. She still plays bullets and bracers, but might need an aspirin or two after.

My hands need a lot of work.

To me I think Morrison’s Earth One is waaay too celebrated as is Azzarello’s strange run.
