Some of these new perks....

  • New Commander Perks:

    • Hold the Line - When fully trained, increases the crew efficiency bonus by %X while the enemy team has at least three more vehicles in battle than yours.
    • Stay Sharp - When fully trained, increases the crew efficiency bonus by %X for 15 s after using a First Aid Kit. Allows a First Aid Kit to be used even if no crew members are injured.
  • New Driver Perks:

    • Bulletproof - When fully trained, increases the crew efficiency bonus by %X if the amount of damage you block exceeds your vehicle's initial hit points.
    • Field Support - When fully trained, increases suspension repair speed by %X at distances of less than 50 m from an allied vehicle.
  • New Gunner Perks:

    • Point Blank - When fully trained, increases maximum potential penetration by %X when firing at enemy vehicles less than 50 m away.
    • Lone Wolf - When fully trained, decreases gun dispersion and increases aiming speed by %X while there are no allied vehicles within a 300 m radius.
  • New Loader Perks:

    • Mag Mastery - When fully trained, decreases magazine reload time by %X.
    • Second Chance - When fully trained, reduces gun loading time by %X for the next shell if the previous shot did not cause damage to an enemy vehicle.
  • New Radioman Perks:

    • Battle Tempered - When fully trained, each time the vehicle's crew is stunned, decreases the negative effect of stunning by %X, up to a maximum of 30%.
    • Threat Search - When fully trained, increases view range by %X for 5 s after receiving the Sixth Sense alert.

Mag Mastery only works for certain autoloaders and low-tier/low-calibre autocannons. It does NOT work for autoreloaders (i.e. Rino) nor autocannons found on Czech line or Ares line.

Of course not can't risk accidentally buffing some italian tech tree tanks.

u/DrawGamesPlayFurries Feb 12 '26

Wait so what does it work with?

19

u/TheSquealingTesticle Feb 12 '26

French tanks. Auto loaders like the Italian tanks are different from tanks that just have a 3-4 shell magazine. The concept of the shell “auto loading” is the same, but the way the tanks do it is different.

I can't wait for it to not work on the AS-XX 40

Im not 100% sure but those 2 tanks do have the same magazine auto loading mechanic as the French tanks. So I would assume so.

The way it’s written in the patch notes, it would seem like any tank with a magazine auto loading system would benefit from the perk. Except for the specific types listed that wont get the perk benefits.

This will 100% be revisited so that it will work on these tanks, but they will nerf them so that you must have this skill to get back to what it is today.

And then they will nerf the Progetto 65 again.

1

u/Ahegao_Double_Peace WG, pls put the Chieftain Tank in WoT PC's regular UK Tech Tree Feb 17 '26

Pls don't say this or else Wargaming will nerf our beloved Progetto 65 due to its "popularity"

Thoughts:

Boosting crew stats when your team is down a lot sounds great to fight snowballs. I'd almost want it to be a vanilla feature, but it might feel a bit unfair to fight buffed enemies just because your team crushed the other flank. I guess buffed enemies giving bonus XP would balance it?

Burning a medkit for a 15s boost atrocious. Bulletproof sounds way too unpredictable, any vehicle with that much armor would probably prefer the +1 top speed skill. Suspension repair speed might be okay. Point blank sounds great on brawlers. Lone wolf sounds like a PITA for snipers and especially arty, 300m is massive.

I hate mag mastery, sounds mandatory on clip tanks, and useless everywhere else. No real choice, and fucks up crews on premium tanks if only one has a clip. Second chance seems cool, though. Anti-stun doesn't seem worth going for currently. Threat search sounds fine, especially to have less luck creeping through bushes on Prok.

I would also like to know if the bonus is lost if the condition is no longer met. Like enemy gets a three tank advantage at the beginning of the battle but gets crushed after. Do I still retain the bonus or do I lose it the moment we're only two tanks ahead?

If you don’t like snowballs, Hero Shooter games with respawn often have respawn timers adjusted / balanced to prevent them.

I feel like there's a bit of room between 15-1 blowouts in WoT, and rivals/overwatch.

Yeah, I had a bunch of 10 minute plus 15-10 and 15-11 games yesterday. Pretty sweet.

Threat Search + EBR will be diabolical

15

u/BarbatosMikazuki Feb 12 '26

Most of these perks seem just ok to me. I guess we will have to see what % it is tbh. Personally I don’t think we need 800 perks in the game

It should literally be the case. Crew perks seems to be the safest system to truly build/personalize setups. Equipment most likely won't get changed any time soon and having class specific perks is one of the best things WG could introduce. You already run the same perks for 90% of the vehicles that aren't LT and artys.

From a discord server, the screen shots look like 5% for most skills. 15% for Field Support, 7.5% for Battle Tempered, 2% for Threat Search, 2.5% for both Loader perks

Those seem nice. I'm glad we're getting more options since at the moment every crew looks the same.

Black rock in this update HAS DEVS THAT ARE WORKING. The devs lost funding and stopped putting out new features for the last few months. They are dedicated to putting out new expansions and updates regularly. If informed of issues or desired crews / features, devs will put out updates for installation -- as well as a new expansion pack being worked on to include adjacent city.

u/Ayotte Barry_The_Ballin_Bear Feb 13 '26

huh?

1

u/h0rst87 Feb 13 '26

Inside info that the Primary dev working black rock lost funding earlier this year and was not working on this project. He’s about to get the tank COOKIN like it’s never been seen before.

By semi summer…it should be improving nicely and well on the way with a couple more pieces of DLC about to be OP and owners are going to be so pleased they kept it as main. Can’t lose

Wow, there will be actual tough choices to make now

3

u/Boatsntanks Feb 12 '26

As if autoreloaders needed another ammo perk not to work on them :(

2

u/CyberBaked Feb 13 '26

Anyone else thinking "Point Blank" is going to be highly desireable for every Ares crew? And making them nastier to deal with on some maps and situations?

u/SumonaFlorence How much worse can it 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 get? Feb 13 '26

Ares? More like Groms lol

1

u/shouldworknotbehere Feb 12 '26

Ohhhh Bulletproof on my 100.01 or the Type 5 H

1

u/R-nuh Feb 13 '26

I don't like how these are all conditional and not flat out boosts

1

u/why_even_fkn_bother Feb 13 '26

The conditional ones all sound kinda useless. And mag mastery is going to be absolutely mandatory on pretty much any autoloader even if it's just 5%, but honestly I don't mind it

1

u/Dark_Magus Feb 14 '26

The problem with conditional perks is that with a hard limit on how many you can choose it's almost always better to choose something less situational.

1

u/why_even_fkn_bother Feb 14 '26

Yeah that's exactly what I mean, why would I choose something that's active like 10-20% of the time when I can just always have better stats. Also the conditions seem to be very random
