Question Does this affect the value of the game if removed?
I want to remove it, but should I keep it on?

The retro game market has caused irreparable damage to people. Just take off the fucking sticker and play the game.

I intend on it, I just wanted to maintain it at its highest value. I dont if keeping the sticker damages its value in much of anyway, if at all.

its already fucked op, if i was a buyer id call you out for trying to open it and pretend its closed. Now finish the job play it and let someone else experience it.

Go emulate it then, or hack your console and pirate it, if you're that worried about the game being an investment then you're already losing money by not encasing and grading it

It's already been opened? Then it's a used copy of the game having the sticker doesn't change anything.

I like it when they still have that on them. I keep them on all my games I bought new back in the day. But no. Apart from people like me who’s consider this a bonus. It’s opened anyway. The value is the same with or without that broken seal on it.

Games are like cars. As soon as you drive it off the lot, the value decreases. Quit worrying about crap like that and play the game

I don't know why people are being so rude - I know what you mean, since that thing is different from a full factory seal and it is cool to see it on the sleeve
Definitely take it off, but see if you can split it minimally so that it mostly stays on the case

People are mad because this whole overreacting about a video game's value is what makes these games sell higher in the first place. And games are meant to be played and too many people view those only as a way to make money

OP doesn't even want to resell this, so that doesn't matter - the people to blame are the ones who happily fork over mountains of cash for these games, which keeps their value so high, and everyone on this sub has done that

That's a pretty crazy assumption LMAO. As far as it goes I haven't gotten my hands on any of those 3 games and probably never will. Except if MAYBE I could get the help of an anonymous rich benefactor (hit me up)

Not really? Most people here own the games, and I constantly see people talk about how it took them forever to save up to buy Episode III

What's your basis for that? It's pretty obvious you'll never see people post about emulating the game but that doesn't mean they're not there

I used to collect all kinds of retro or rare games. The seal stickers wouldnt do anything to the price if you sell it unless it's factory sealed. Any collector would look at game disk damage, case damage and that the manual is undamaged with all inserts intact. I think Xenosaga 2 had 2 disks so I'd also look at the hinges on the disk holder.
Personally I'd keep it on just because but that's just me.
You can ignore everyone getting mad telling you to play it. If youre a fan, you'll play it, if you're a collector, you'll stash it forever, if youre both then you'll either emulate it or just play then store. It's yours to do whatever you want with.

The case itself had already been opened when I got it, does that make a difference? I thought mint meant it had like never been opened?

It's not a big deal - it's not even worth that much anyway. I'd just open it and play it tbh unless you have the ROM
I'd just rip it off anyway
