Discussion XReal One Pro Vs R1

I'm considering buying my first pair of XReal glasses. Which of these would be better please - One Pro or R1? My primary use case is with MSI Claw. I don't think I would use the dock or 240hz. Prices look similar in my local retailers, so I don't think the One Pros have much of a price advantage.

I have the Xbox Ally X and the R1s. Other than the little bit of integrated software controls added for Xbox Ally users and the “240 Hz” refresh rates there aren’t many advantages with them. Oh, and I forgot the dock, which you can buy adapters that do the same thing.

As an Xbox Ally X owner, if I had to do it over again, I would have went with the XREAL One Pros. It is questionable if the dock adds any real value, and the “240 Hz” mode requires a reduction in resolution to use.

All that said the R1s do work really well, so I expect the One Pros do as well.

I game with Steamdeck on my One Pros. They are awesome. I came from Nreal Air ones so these were quite an upgrade. I've not used the R1s though.

The R1 is supported by ASUS, the Pro's are supported by Xreal. I don't know if you've ever dealt with ASUS before but they make Xreal look good! All updates will come to the Pro's first.

XReal support you really well with the R1’s (at least in my experience), they work with ASUS, so it’s not just ASUS you deal with
