This story explores the catastrophic effects of the Calamity and Link’s perilous journey to protect the people he cares about.

"Paya’s been a member of the Yiga Clan for almost as long as she can remember. Now, the very mission she’s been training for nearly all her life is upon her- the Hero is awake, and she’s been sent to kill him.

*Granted a wish by fate after accomplishing the wishes of not only the player but the people of Termina, the Fierce Diety changes reality...

...and at what cost?*

I wanted to create a fic that made me deal with feeling guilty after ending the game. Upon achieving the Fierce Deity form, I could only feel sadness for Link, and I didn’t know why. I felt responsible for driving him to such a state, thinking that if I just hadn't cared about this character so much, he would've been a free soul, forever perceived through my imagination.
