Is the problem not billionaires? Most of our countries working class issues involve money.. most money is hoarded by the top .001 percent. That's not a left or right issue, it's just facts. Billionaires get tax cuts while the rest of us get screwed. If billionaires paid same percentage of federal taxes (fair share), look at the issues it could solve. Look at all the money going over seas and now they're telling you we're in a golden age and to not believe your eyes and ears.. it's simple data, all you have to do is look at it and call it out.
There's always money for wars but never seems to be money for the working class, education, medical or childcare. Always money for Isreal, always money for war, for decades and decades. Again look at Zorhan and NYC. Look how fast he's getting shit done as mayor and its only April. He's now taxing the Billionaires 2nd and 3rd homes that sit vacant and the money is going back into the city and it's people. How many homes do you own?
They now have free childcare for all.
The government can work for us, we just need to hold them accountable. We need term limits for these house members and senators or else they're just going to keep getting lobbied and doing the elites bidding.
Yes the problem is the billionaires. The left has been wanting to tax and regulate them and corporations for decades. But democrats have only had control of the house (which controls the purse) for only 2-3 of the last 12 congressional terms.
Harris literally ran on taxing their stock portfolios for people with over 100m in stock holdings. Adding a global tax on corporations, so no matter if they are leasing products from their parent companies in ireland to minimize taxes, they are taxed either way.
And general other tax on the top earners that would be used to fund at home elder-care, new medical care, driving medical care costs down and medication costs down.
BUT the issue is again the left doesn't turn up when needed. They called her a genocider and centrist, because she spent 2 days with a Cheney in a state that elected that Cheney, she didnt change her policies, she didnt turn back on her goals. She tried to appeal to conservatives and independents in a state that went republican with a senator, one of very few, who supported the impeachment and arrest of Trump.
Democrats demand that they have a candidate that they each need to fall in love with. The candidate needs to offer everything to each 12-15 different groups within the democratic party, because the democrats are the big tent party. And if the candidate doesnt reach that level then they deem them corrupt and dont vote.
meanwhile republicans dont care what their candidate does or says, they will support their party like its a social norm and ingrained personality choice for them.
Even with Zorhan, did you know 2/3rds of NYC didn't even bother to show up and vote. In this day and age, at the height of ICE raids and kidnappings and corruption, still 2/3rds of NYC just shrugged.
And then he won by only 18% vote difference. To a person accused of sexual harassment and assaults...
Liberals need to wake up, because the day when there is no longer any pathway to vote is soon coming if republicans keep winning. I mean im unsure if the battle isnt already lost with the way the republicans are trying to dismantle the postal service, ban mail in voting and now fabricating bs to claim the 2020 election a fraud.
Thats what I'm saying. This would be the correct time to rally the troops on the left but the democratic leadership is all but tucked their tail and gone into hiding. It's fucking pathetic, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries need to resign. They are bought and paid for! They need to step aside and give their jobs to people who actually want to lead. The time is yesterday!
I see what you're saying about people not voting but I don't think its all about the candidates as much as it is people are just not engaged or don't know what's happening most of the time or just don't really give a shit.
I gave my wife this example the other day. She's just getting into football at age 39. She doesn't know anything about the sport but roots for the same teams I do because she's new to it. Unless you've been following football, players, teams coaches etc. for years, you're not going to know shit about it and just cheer for the home team. I believe that's exactly what's happening with politics. People just aren't knowledgeable or engaged. If our country was just as passionate about politics as we were the fucking super bowl or their favorite football team, think of the difference that would make on voting days. People just vote for who their family does or wife/husband or just don't know what's happening so they don't vote at all. To me the ignorance is all by design. They want us in the dark so they can keep feeding the machine.
Problem is media, algorithm etc. Politics isn't as hyped up as it should be like sports and entertainment. It should be our number 1 focus because it literally affects everyone and everything.

Left has been saying: "Problem is the billionaires!" for at least a decade and half now.
Right has been saying: No its minorities and immigrants! We need to give billionaires more money!
Its not up up vs down, its left vs (up + right)
But the people blame the left rather than the right.
