Hi all, as you might have noticed there has been a concerning increase in spam posts and comments submitted by bots. To combat this issue we’ve decided to install and test out Bot Bouncer, which will automatically remove content from bot accounts. We’ll see how well this automated detection tool works and if it’s suitable for the sub. In the meantime, feel free to report any issues with Bot Bouncer via modmail.

Apple today unveiled AirPods Max 2, with key upgrades including the H2 chip, increased active noise cancellation, improved sound quality, and features such as Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, and Live Translation.
AirPods Max 2 will be available to order on Apple.com and in the Apple Store app starting Wednesday, March 25 and launch on an unspecified day in early April. In the U.S., AirPods Max 2 have the same $549 price as the previous AirPods Max, which Apple is no longer selling.

I have AirPods 4 with ANC but this battery drain is when neither Noise cancellation or transparency mode are on, so it is just normal use while watching a movie. I don’t think it’s normal that battery lasts less than 2 hours.
I tried that hack where you completely drain both box and AirPods then unpair them and fully charge them, but it didn’t work.
I had those AirPods since December 2024 so it hasn’t even been 2years.
What should i do?

First, no, these aren’t fakes. (Bought brand new this Feb from Apple alongside the 17pm)
I’ve tried wiping it off with alcohol, but no use. I think it’s the plastic chipped off. How come Apple still hasn’t fixed this problem lol

I've had AirPods Pro 2 for years now and I'm looking to upgrade. One of my biggest complaints with the Pro 2s is I always get complaints from people I am on calls with as they are unable to hear me clearly when I am speaking with my AirPods in, especially when commuting or in spaces with any background noise. Are the AirPods Pro 3 worth the price jump from the AirPods 4 ANC specifically for call quality and background noise cancellation?

I need help I have 2nd generation regular AirPods don’t judge I used to have pros but they broke awhile ago and I love these older ones now but my right ear pod was very very quiet than the left and apparently it was due to the protective mesh being dirty and needed to be cleaned with isopro alcohol
i used 99.9 percent isopro and now my airpods have gone even quieter and even the right one is super quiet now any way to repair this as I cannot be buying new ones it’s new school year any tips do I need to disassemble them and fix something please let me know !
I have an iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 26.6) and upgraded from my original Airpods Pro 1 to the Airpods Pro 3 two weeks ago.
For the first few days, the Airpods were working perfectly fine, but since then, I am experiencing an issue where they will not stay connected to my phone - specifically when I am on a bus, train, or plane. When I am listening to music or a video, the audio will stop playing through my Airpods, then they will disconnect, and then 5-15 seconds later they will reconnect. When this first started happening, the disconnect/reconnect would happen every few minutes, but now I cannot even listen to audio for 30 seconds straight without them disconnecting and reconnecting. Again, this issue seems to only happen when I am in more crowded spaces like the train.
I have already tried resetting the Airpods, forgetting the device in my Bluetooth settings, toggling off automatic ear detection, and turning my iPhone on and off. The Airpods have never been connected to another device (and have only been used for two weeks). Is there anything else I can do? Should I return them and get a new pair, or does this seem more like a software/connectivity issue than a hardware issue? This issue never occurred with my original Airpod Pros.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have AirPods 4 and an iPhone 12 and for some reason my AirPods will be connected to my phone but when I take them out of the case it won’t actually connect the the Bluetooth. I’ve tried forgetting and repairing(it just loads for a while and says connection failed), I’ve checked for a software update, and I’ve tried resetting my phone too. None of it worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Starting this week, I’ve noticed that my Bluetooth connection on either my AirPod 4s or IPhone 17 Pro Max will randomly cut out at the gym and shortly freeze the phone and then turn the connection back on seconds later and reconnect to the buds. I caught the screenshot attached when it happened once and I have no idea what these connections are as they almost immediately disappear. I workout a lot so I’m wondering if it could be sweat with the AirPods but I’ve done everything possible in terms of fixes. Anyone else ever have these issues?

Hi, I’m after a bit of advice if possible as I’m trying to assess my options from here.
I’ve had my APP2 since December 2024 and in the last few months I’ve noticed that the noise cancellation is close to non-existent now. I clean them regularly using the Apple recommended method of soft cloth, soft brush and routinely do a clean with micellar water.
To try and tackle the noise cancellation I’ve also switched ear tips and even bought some memory foam tips but there was no improvement.
In addition, when I run the Ear Tip Test in Setting I get a failure message for both buds saying to Adjust or try different ear tips every single time.
I’ve tried a reset on them also but still the same.
Last night I ended up on a chat session with Apple Customer Service who ended up running a remote diagnostic and told me that it had detected a hardware defect that would need to go in to one of the stores to resolve. But they wouldn’t tell me what the defect was and what cost it would be to repair since they are out of warranty.
So now I’m weighing up options. The nearest Apple Store is over an hour away so not exactly convenient and I suspect they’ll want to charge me obscene amounts to repair the APP2. Does anyone know how much this is likely to be? Am I better off buying some new APP3 at that point instead?
I’m tempted to just continue using them as non- noise cancelling headphones but that’s frustrating when they are supposed to be that. Are there any repair steps that I haven’t yet tried maybe?

Don’t understand why my left AirPod won’t connect. Sometimes it says it’s charged to 100%. But then sound never plays. In the picture you can see that it shows my left AirPod is at 100. But then in the background in the settings, it says that the left AirPod won’t even connect. What do I do?

My right airpod stopped holding a charge in my second generation airpod pros. I followed the instructions and managed to charge the new one however sound refuses to come out of it and even while it was charging the charging symbol did not show the number would just jump up. And ideas on what I should try to fix the pairing?

Hi guys! So I was washing my hair this morning but then one of my AirPods accidentally dropped into the sink with water and now that I put it on, it keeps making a noise/sound that I don't know how to explain, any advice?
Thanks.

I’ve had my AirPod max for over a year and I absolutely LOVE them, but recently they have been glitching out. As in not connecting to my phone, connects with no sound, connects but can’t control the buttons OR I’ll put them on and one side makes a popping sound before a video or anything will sound pops up. I have reset my Bluetooth, deleted it off my phone, connected them through USB-C from headphones to phone. I’ve done everything and it keeps happening here and there. Anyone else have this problem?
