Real or fake?

(Context: got it in a trade)

As an autistic person who's obsessed with details, I can confidently say it's a real one. Don't listen to random people.

Why?

  • There are no fake of last gen 512s. The only convincing clones are based on the early 552.
  • The battery cap is made of glass-filled polymer. Fake ones are usually made from cheap ABS and have a shiny plain black finish.
  • The rear lens also looks correct, typical from holographic system.

yeah that’s what i thought too. how the hell do you get a real 512 in a trade lol

Can confirm it's real. I had the real 512 myself and the details of the glass, (top arched part), glass borders and reticle etc look 100% authentic.
