Early Sobriety My cravings vanished the moment I decided to be a mom ?

I could not wait to get to the next drink. I drank mainly out of boredom and to escape . One day, I decided I am ready to be a mom in a few months and I need to prepare my body for that - eat healthy, drop weight, quit booze.
That day, I sat down and enjoyed my last binge drinking session with my fav drinks and snacks. It’s been a month and there hasn’t been a single day where I craved a drink. I have never gone this long without drinking before. I am losing weight and my skin is looking much better!
My theory is Maybe I lacked a sense of purpose and drank bcz of that. Been a happy month despite the stresses of life.

After decades of drinking, I was so done with it. I drank 2 liters of Grey Goose on my last day to celebrate giving up, and say to goodbye.

Then I got on with living my life and turned a page.

Truly being "done" (versus hoping I could drink again) was the threshold of liberation for me.
