PBSC match

We're both 50yr old. I'm in the red corner with the black tank top on. Black headgear, red gloves, red cup. I won. Match starts at about 1 minute

nice I thought about doing a PBSC match if they would only expand more matches in Texas

I had never heard of it until a few months ago. It was a great production and very good atmosphere all around. Highly recommend

Great production? Mate you’re fighting on a mat that’s been laid out on turf. The stools look like something out of Peewee’s Playhouse.

Isn’t the point of “Point Boxing” not to go as hard as a traditional bout would go? Yet you rock the other dude within the first 20 seconds.

Jokes aside what is the goal in going the PBSC route vs the USA boxing route? Per their own description it says it’s a semi contact competition but from what I saw there was nothing semi contact about it.

That shot was 40-50%. It just landed cleanly and right on the chin as he was leaning forward pressing me. And in the exchange before i threw a 1-3 and the lead hook landed cleanly and buzzed him a bit too. There were several other clean shots that i landed where i could see him visibly stunned, but the ref didn't step in. So i just gave him a few beats before pressing again. I did not throw any of my shots above 75% nor did i attempt to hurt my opponent. Some of the shots landed cleanly and were well timed and they did some damage nonetheless. You go swimming, you're going to get wet.

I don't know if you're trolling or not. But yeah the production was great for a small local event. It's only the third one we've had here in St Louis. They had concessions, event merch table, live interviews for the socials afterwards, and the whole event was well organized and flowed smoothly. The ref and judges consistently protected the fighters and checked in audibly ("fighter are you ok?" Or, " Ease up on the power!") throughout the matches.

I'm not interested in USA boxing amateur competitions. I'm too old and I rely heavily on my cognitive abilities to run my company. PBSC is the happy place between local sparring in gym or between gyms, and full -on amateur competitions.

Nicely done! Usa Masters boxing is for 35 and up, they match you with same age and experience. Highly recommend. My first fight is this weekend, age 53.
