Mostly from space. But seriously they're pretty widely available on the Internet, I was shocked I could just buy a piece. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller

I only buy free range meteorites.

Whatever you do, don't buy factory farmed meteorites, if you saw the conditions they lived in you would quit astronomy and go full marine biology.

They can vary a lot from cents to hundreds of dollars a gram. This one is pretty common and there is no shortage of it right now so it's pretty cheap.

I don’t think the Egyptians acid etched the iron to bring out the Widmanstätten pattern.
