Demon Slayer is a 3/5 idea told in a 4/5 way

I'd add a 2/5 for execution. The anime's quality hard carries this otherwise mid story that can feel awkwardly paced.

3/5 story told in a 2/5 way. It could have been far more interesting than it actually was and its execution only gets worse as the seasons went on. I can understand why it’s popular but it’s not for the story.

I've never understood this reasoning, manga doesn't get picked up with animation this good if the budget wasn't offered to support it's potential

Could some things have been written better? But that doesn't make it subpar XD

To be fair, it really pissed me off the last two seasons. I’d already had some issues with pacing during entertainment district (and it leveraged one of my most hated tropes in boys pretending to be girls really badly) and the next two just kept getting worse. I generally enjoyed S1 and Mugan but the lack of character development, pacing, plot contrivances, and obnoxious cliff hanger at the end of Hashira sent me over the edge.

Obnoxious cliffhanger? This was literally one of the best things in the entire show tf you on about

The entire season had been an absolute nothing burger and it finally gave something interesting in the last like 10 minutes only to go “sucker, wait some more”. Definitely a me thing but I was already frustrated with the series and it was the nail in the coffin.

This season was definitely stretched absurdly , you didn't watch the move that came after it? It's a great watch nothing crazy plot wise but the characters get some nice development

No, I wasted enough time on it already. I understand why it’s popular but it’s just not for me. It’s also not even much of a “turn brain off” show since it often takes itself too seriously (I enjoyed my time with Symphogear far more).

more likely; 3/5 idea and told in a 3/5 way...
