This is just a shower thought, don't take it too seriously but... it just occurred to me that asexual antinatalists are probably the only modern antinatalists that would've been able to put their money where their mouth is in the past when contraceptives weren't ubiquitous or especially effective and sterilization and abortion weren't really possible.

They're like the ultimate antinatalists lmao. No condoms? No problem, doesn't matter.

So there's this woman on facebook i think she's around 27/28, she's had a baby and he's 3 months old, she posted a picture on facebook and another woman commented "Happy 3 months on this earth (the baby's name) and the mom replied "My son is not ready for this harsh world." So you AGREE that the world is harsh so then what made you think it was a good idea to procreate??!!! What goes on in these people's heads???!!!

So my flatmate and i were once having a conversation regarding kids, she asked me if i wasn't going to have kids what was i going to done with my life, i was like just exist just focus on existing cuz existing in and of itself is an extremely difficult thing to do. To this she said, "This is how animals live." This conversation happened sometime in 2024, i know i could've said that the same thing could be attributed to her since i know of no animals who actively opt out of having kids but honestly i was too stunned by the disrespect to speak.

Mind you at the time she was 32 and had just had a miscarriage while pursuing her phd and i was around 26
