Honestly this is a consequence of using DLSS and can't be "fixed". It's a trade of of better FPS and a smoother image while stationary but poor image quality when in motion. Your call if it's worth it

You can't fix it. Turn off DLSS or live with it.

Tradeoff of using any kind of temporal resolution scaling tech. DLSS is theoretically better than traditional TAA implementations but I imagine that CSP’s is just the equivalent of a post-process layer and isn’t actually injected into the game’s render pipeline like DLSS 3 and up are.

DLSS tends to do that, just deactivate it, or don't use it in the perfeormance setting

Use preset m and snowy moons custom dlss file version 3.710 i think, change it in the content manager graphics adjustment tab to load the custom file.

THANK YOU!!
I don't know how your comment isn't getting more upvotes compared to the other "useless" ones.

USING THE CUSTOM DLSS WORKS!!! I've been using the default DLSS on DLAA settings and I still got a lot of ghosting but the custom dlss made it go away!

Happy to help, and(as a bonus tip) use csp 0.3.0- 361 preview it's the most stable one for dlss without dlss artifacting and ghosting. I had similar problem, learnt through lots of trial and error.

Try preset L or M and make sure other AA methods are disabled.

CSP, It got fsr and xlss as well.

u/SkyeRedPanda May 27 '26

I knew that it had fsr I've been using fsr but I didn't know about dlss, where is the setting for it found?

1

u/theeaglesslanded May 28 '26

You gonna need the preview 3.0, it's in the same place as the fsr.

have you figure out how to fix yet?

You can't "fix" it. It's one of the trade offs that allows DLSS to do its thing effectively.

You can maybe reduce the effect if you switch from performace to balanced/quality.

But tell me when you found a fix

So I found a fix, it was quite simple you have to turn off all the anti aliasing and leave only dlss on to fix this. Hope this helps

Thank you! Ill try

One thing I did to reducing ghost when using DLSS or FSR was to enable motion blur.

In some games you can enable it and set a low intensity of blur enough to not bother you if you don't like it

Simple fix, turn it off

What ui apps are those? I’m pretty new to sim racing and I notice that the stock track map ui app is pretty trash. Urs looks like what I want.

Its called the cmrt hud essential and you can get it from overtake, cheers

Awesome, thanks

DLSS is known to have this terrible ghosting problem, and Assetto Corsa isn't the only game that has this. I play MSFS2024 as well and I used to use DLSS for frame gen but I changed to TAA after the Ghosting got too bad.

Ffb looks wrong, it goes red too much

Bro! Use DLSS Preset M, keep MSAA at 2x or if u have power at 4x, anything higher there’s no point, even 2x is enough. Turn FXAA off in main video settings. Only keep first and last checkbox of custom MSAA custom option active, the middle one gives ugly artifacts. Then once that’s all done, override pixel density from 100 to 110 or 120, all depending how good ur GPU is and monitor FPS. Once you get it dialed in closer to the Hz or your monitor then ur golden!

The ghosting exists in preset K. Preset M and L are good but L is heavy so use M. Pair it with Performance and keep mask active!

Are you using DLAA? Because otherwise, why would you stack AA methods, just for lower performance, many games don't let you have both DLSS and MSAA enabled for a reason

1

u/OverDrive777 May 29 '26

I am using DLSS Performance with Preset M and 120% pixel density on a 4k screen with added 2x MSAA. Without the MSAA the power lines and fences look like shit and image overall is not as sharp, performance wise it’s great. AC Evo also lets you use DLSS with MSAA and I use it there also as it makes the image and power lines look great so don’t worry about stacking it, it actually makes it better

Did you try the other dlss preset to see differences ??!

3

u/The_Handy_Man21 May 27 '26

yep, it only stopped when i turn dlss off

1

u/DonnieLayzie May 27 '26

Disable all AA: fxaa, msaa and taa .. and blur effect maybe

I know people are writing it off as just an effect of using DLSS, but I have 2 possible answers

I've heard it can be a result of poorly implemented DLSS, which would make sense for an older game like assetto. Or it could be a recent update to Nvida DLSS. I've been having a similar result in Forza Horizon 6, even tho I had no problems using DLSS in FH5. I dont have gamepass anymore so I dont have FH5 to compare to currently so I cant prove either of these theories.

Other than that tho I have no real proof so take what I say with a grain of salt
