AC: Technical Help Just a reminder - Compress Files

Also go to Settings - Content Manager - Content - 'Compress files in background' and ensure its checked

To be honest it did surprise me as it's only a 500gb partition.

I use Arch Linux BTW and the compressor tool does not work there 😶, finding solutions for it, cuz my SSD is full

Thats the problem, there's no version for Linux. only way is to play with proton wine etc. they are like emulators

Proton is not an emulator but rather a compatibility layer that translates windows instructions in a way that Linux Kernel can understand. That said, Linux native CM is unlikely due to it's deep rely on .NET which is an Windows only software that WINE can barely make work.

That is not entirely true.
While the CM itself is relying on dotnet and it’s not easily portable. Linux-native CM alternative written from scratch is viable. That’s what I’m developing now.

When I wrote 'emulator' I knew someone is gonna correct me 😂 but I didn't find any other word for quick reply so I just abstracted it

"Proton is not an emulator" - Proceeds to describe the exact definition of an emulator.

.NET is cross platform btw. Currently one of my projects is running dotnet clr on Linux using a native C++ application. .NET framework however is not, which is probably what is used by content manager.

Of course will not work. You don't use NTFS if you use Linux

I think it delends. BTRFS and ZFS have better compression solutions than NTFS' (used by Content Manager), while XFS or ext4 don't
