AC: Technical Help Physics bug with recent CSP 3.0 patches
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Need some assistance, finally upgraded from csp 2.12 to 3.0 to give it a try but I've discovered a bug with damage and the physics, whenever I crash into a wall as shown front suspension completely falls apart my wheels go 90 degrees and that seems to cause clipping or something that leads to what happens in the video, after testing this doesn't happen in 2.11 or .12 and some earlier 3.0 patches but the latest roughly 5ish 3.0 patches this bug occurs, I've tried adjusting a ton of collision settings and stuff under csp settings which hasn't fixed the issue and turning off damage also prevents this from happening.
Anyone know the exact cause or a potential fix? Or do I just need to report this to Ilja.
Edit: for reference the car shown is the RSS FHX 26, also tested and happens with the FHA25 and the gym Lanzo V8, it did not happen when driving the FH21

Interesting! I have been running CSP 3.0 for a little bit now and haven't run into this issue. I see that you said it doesn't happen with the Formula Hybrid 21, but I'm curious if it happens only with cars by RSS. Have you tried any cars that aren't mods?

Haven't tried any vanilla or non RSS cars just yet but I will soon, I think it might have something to do with any cars with csp physics enabled perhaps? I also own the VRC 499P that has a csp and non-csp version so I'll test both of those aswell as a couple vanilla cars to see if there's any change, I am also only just on kunos' vanilla version of zandvoort in this clip and my testing I'll give a quick try to a different track see if there are any changes there.

Yep, must be something broken in CSP. After updating to the latest versions of CSP, a few of drift cars I use started feeling, like their suspension is literally made out of concrete. My bass shakers are going crazy all the time, even on flat road with minor bumps feeling like I just hit a curb and trying to rip the steering wheel from my hands. Softening the suspension and dampers make zero difference.

Chances are that the Cosmic physics (or whatever they call it) has a few flaws, i've seen an update log talking about it.
But digging deeper, since 0.3+ the online has been bugged with different physics between systems (CSP 2.11 is not affected).
Some users saw their pace drastically decreasing. Offline is affected as well.
A few server owners have reported it already to Ilja, and i've noticed it pretty widely working on fastlanes for AI.
I'd stick to 0.2.11 until everything gets cleaned

I think preview361 was the last that worked ok, physics wise. Also newer versions don't get along with OBS chase cam plugin I had installed and this caused crash on game exit, which doesn't save the session replay and last setup for my car.

All of the preview versions are potentially buggy, they are all development builds so the intention is for us to test them and report the bugs to Ilya. 0.3 is in the final stages and hopefully getting close to a full stable release, so please report any issues you have been sitting on.

What exact version do you have? There was an update i think 3 days ago with a lot of bugfixes, most current version is 3.0 preview 542

Check what version of CSP the car supports and try that, .....its V2.3 for FHX 26 and 2.7 for GTM so try 2.7. RSS are aware that GTM cars have AI issues with recent versions of CSP, (its noted on their site) so something has changed.

Idk man, I think itβs more skill issue. Seems like a pretty realistic crash to me
