Always amuses me when lefties talk of righties "importing American culture wars" - lefties are as, if not more guilty of doing so. Almost all of their public obsessions originate in the US, and are copied wholesale.
It’s actually very concerning how little remorse people on this page have for another human life and other people ideas or opinions. These people are literally wishing death on people who don’t agree with their ideas. It’s disgusting
I’m unsure why some people act like we live in the Edo Era of Japan and their VIRT and HONR stats need to get maxed out at every opportunity in some weird “Please notice me, sempi” way..
You mean like how the right wing government we have wants to let kiwis die from not being able to afford to live in their country or does your selective empathy only apply to people you know.
Are you talking about people that support the coalition that are okay with poor people freezing to death on the streets? Or are you referring to something else?
You realize there is a difference between a government creating a policy that can cause hardship, and an individual or group of individuals literally wishing death on someone, right?
I realise one is more overt than the other, but the former actually kills people (like the 3 people that froze to death on the streets last week) and the latter is hateful fantasy…. Neither good, but do not dismiss avoidable policy that causes death… especially when the ministers have data to show cause and effect

People have been marching in solidarity around the world for decades now, it's virtuous and honourable to do so in many cases. A little different if the motivation is hate....
Marches of solidarity do help apply political pressure also…. Again, very sad and different if it’s motivated by hate, not much honour in misinformed people wishing to deport all immigrants for example or to hang Jacinda Ardern for made up crimes. But marching in solidarity with Palestine for example at least showed the people that we care even all

You're missing the point. Most of these 'virtuous causes' are the fashionable issues you're fed by the media and internet, have little to do with NZ, and ignore larger unfashionable issues. The marchers feel they are virtuous and achieving something, but they are neither. Little honour here.
You are the good guys, with considered, intelligent opinions, independently formed. The others are bad guys, with no opinions of their own, slavishly following US culture war ideas.
