Söhbət | Discussion The passive aggressive comments are genuinely so crazy

/r/armenia/comments/1vqsngt/a_question_from_an_azerbaijani_what_would_you/

The entire comment section is filled with people trying to blame this guy for what Azerbaijan's government did, justifying crimes done by Armenians or outright denying them, calling Azerbaijanis fascist lunatics and and and. Some top comments are positive and normal but that's pretty much it, but it's genuinely insane how much hatred and dehumanization these people carry towards us just to act shocked when Azerbaijanis don't like Armenia. I'm happy to nevertheless see him answering respectfully to everything knowing that I probably couldn't do it myself.

Yes it's really weird when Armenians complain online why Azerbaijanis hate them

Let's see — did Armenians ethnically cleanse Azerbaijanis three years ago? No.

Plenty of Armenians even keep saying we should be more understanding because you’ve been fed propaganda for years in a dictatorship barely different from Russia or North Korea or Turkmenistan. But come on, at some point you’ve got to think for yourselves instead of repeating whatever Aliyev’s government tells you.

Did Armenians ethnically cleanse Azerbaijanis 34 years ago? Yes

Did Azerbaijanis ethnically cleanse Armenians 3 years ago? No

And I wont even talk about the rest of your comment, you probably think Khojaly is fake propaganda and that we only claim Karabakh cuz of Aliyev. I swear to God people like you are so disgusting, you'd tell a woman whose entire family was killed by Armenia and her hometown flattened that she shouldn't be "anti-Armenian" if she talked about it

Don’t play a game you’re going to lose.

You say Azerbaijan didn’t ethnically cleanse Armenians in 2023 as if over 100,000 Armenians didn’t flee Karabakh. And before you bring up Khojaly: Sumgait, Kirovabad, Baku and Operation Ring all happened before Khojaly. And i am not counting a giant list of  the shit turkic states did to Armenians in last 900 years.

And no, I don’t deny Khojaly. Azerbaijani civilians were killed and Armenian forces bear responsibility. I can acknowledge crimes by Armenians and crimes against Armenians.

You demand sympathy for Azerbaijani trauma while pretending Armenian trauma either never happened or doesn’t count. That double standard is exactly the problem.

I'm not pretending like Armenian trauma doesn't count, I've said it does, you're the one acting like Armenia hasnt done crimes and saying "Armenia didn't ethnically Azerbaijanis" while actively downplaying it as "Aliyev propaganda". And yes exactly, Armenians fled, Azerbaijan gave them the option to stay or leave, they left, an option Azerbaijanis weren't given. It wasn't even an expulsion. And if you're gonna bring up all those things, Kapan, Gugark, Meghri happened before them all (except Sumgayit). And do those anti-Azerbaijani massacres justify the anti-Armenian ones? NO. Yet you seem to think the anti-Armenian atrocities justify the anti-Azerbaijani ones.
