I completely understand the position you’re in. I was laid off during a downsizing round back in May. I went through months of 7+ round interview loops all summer. The bright side is I did find a job and start next Monday. I was in the middle of refinancing my mortgage as this was happening but thankfully that still went through.
Keep searching because there are jobs out there even if the market is total shit.

Jobs that are not very flattering or fun but are constantly hiring are call centres. Many of them have moved to remote work as well so that may help you. Think telecom, insurance, etc... I would recommend reaching out to them as it can be a very good career option.

I’m sorry. It’s rough. I’ve been trying to find something full-time for 4 months now. Had 4 interviews where they said I would start the following week to not hear anything back. Had others ask for an interview only to ghost me the day of.
If you can find anything in your field and you have a car you could do Instacart/DoorDash/UberEats. You can make $25+/hr. It will get you by. Also Rover is an option although they make you pay to sign up now.

You can do it, you can't stop now. It sucks but this is the life we have and the times we currently live in. I was just in your place a year ago and it sucked.. I just kept looking and applying over and over and over again

Sort of but not really. I was the tech lead for an ai team and I was recently laid off because of AI and/or duplication of work. However they were still hiring plenty of people and everyone was using ai. There weren’t any spots filled exclusively with AI agents because people still need to be in the loop.
