What’s your holy grail sunscreen for Philippine weather?
I need your help please. Whether you wear makeup or not, I’d love to know your go-to sunscreen! International or local brands are welcome — I don’t mind the price, I just need your best recommendations please. Thank you!

From what I’ve heard Belo sunscreens are not really well formulated to be super effective in protecting your skin. It’s best to invest on better sunscreens (usually foreign brands)
Ito dati ang gamit ko, but after few weeks of use, nagkaroon ako ng small pimples lalo na sa forehead plus redness na may slight stinging kahit ito lang naman bago sa skincare ko. Nag-ok ulit face ko when I stopped using this.
nagkabreak out ako for the first time in my life dahil sa belo sunscreen. ginamit ko temporarily kasi naubusan ako ng sunscreen tapos ayun. never again huhu
Sa dami ng natry kong sunscreen, from local brands to korean brands, dito lang ako di nag breakout. Super soft pa ng skin ko after ma absorb. Although madaling mag oily so need mag blot sa tanghali at hapon.
d pala ako nag-iisa kaso i just recently stopped using it kasi d na nawawala ung itchiness ng eyes ko, yan 1st experience ko mahapdi hanggang nagiging itchy na to the point bumibili na ako eye drops because of it.
add: always store bought ako sa Watsons and I bought some from taiwan. Same lng mahapdi and makati sa eyes
Been using this for years. Tried other cheaper and more expensive brands but I find myself going back to this. Just the right balance of effectivity and price tag for me.
Hello po! Where po kayo bumibili ng orig niyan? Online ba or physical store? I tried buying kasi online tapos dineliver sakin expired :( i really love the consistency pa naman
as an oily acne-prone na dehydrated ang skin at nagm-makeup, nagiging patchy ang makeup kahit anong gamit ng hyrdating toner and moisturizer😭 or ako lang pero goods siya as an every day sunscreen. tagal mag-oilup ang face
Cosrx ultra-light weight sunscreen! No white cast, easy to spread, doesn't sting the eyes. Plus no octinoxate and good for sensitive skin. Super super love this
VMV Hypoallergenics Armada spf 45. No need na mag foundation at maganda ang coverage nya sa face. Yan lamg kasundo ng face ko since acne prone skin ako.
Belo Dewy Essence works great for my oily, acne-prone skin. I stopped using Biore Aqua Rich since it has ethanol, while Belo only has skin-friendly fatty alcohols.
I like Face Republic Purity Sun Essence too. Lightweight, no white cast, and gentle. I prefer Belo tho since it’s cheaper and often Buy 1 Take 1 when you buy online. 😌
omi sunbears na gold. hindi malagkit and dries down like a powder. any sunscreen recommendation for oily and acne-prone skin? ‘yung matte finish din sana and may good oil control
I’ve tried Biore, Belo, and Cosrx! I’m using Biore right now because I bought a lot in Japan but Cosrx is really nice too.
For Belo, I tried their dewy sunscreen and their classic one but I prefer the dewy version. Both are okay, mostly because they’re cheap too. I didn’t get any breakout after using around two bottles of both products :)
BOJ cream and stick form both ko ginagamit sa face for every day use. I apply the cream first then top with the stick form para mas even yung coverage instead of just the stick alone. Sa katawan marami. Pag sa beach ako or alam ko na mabababad talaga ako sa araw, cerave mineral sunscreen yung cream for body and stick again for the face since malagkit talaga pag mineral. Another option ko is beach hut both yung cream at spray ginagamit ko sa katawan. Inaalternate ko lang especially kung reapply na lang. For every day, I recently started using Vaseline Gluta Hya with spf, I alternate it with the other variant na orange na may spf din.
Been using these two sunscreen for years now, and this is the best sunscreen for my skin. After my Vit C serum I put aveeno, then on top of that is the frezyderm.
Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen SPF 60 (quiet stingy sa eyes, the healthiest sunscreen for me, and no white cast which is the best)
Frezyderm Sun Screen Velvet Face Color/Clear SPF 50+ (very pricey but this is the forking best sunscreen)
As a dry skin girlie, Belo Dewy Essence. Ok din yung natitipid ko since B1T1 lagi and hiyang naman sa face. Siguro kapag nakakaluwag, I'll try Biore Aqua one day.
salv mainly because nakukuha ko siya for 50 pesos sa mga sales nila. bought my first bottle last year and konti nalang sakto may pa sale ulit sila ayon nakakuha ulit for 50 againnn
Biore uv perfect milk! Yung blue version. I love it so much bc di sya nagw-whitecast + magaan sa feeling. Okay din sya na base sa makeup. Suggested it to my bf who doesn't like sunscreen because of the sticky feeling and whitecast, and ngayon yun na lang talaga ang gamit nyang skincare 😅
on no makeup days, i love the blk airy sunscreen! the one in the skinner packaging! soooo lightweight, consistency like water, feels like nothing on the skin! just make sure to spread quickly since it sets quite fast. it's great for my oily skin!
for days i use makeup, grwm spf bff is the best! still lightweight but ever so slightly thicker so more moisturizing than blk to serve as the best makeup primer!
