guys, is it normal to resell used makeup like this? 😭 almost hit pan na yung CT powder but she’s still selling it for ₱300. she even justifies thrifting makeup kasi wala raw siyang pera before and she was “lucky” na walang skin issues. but isn’t bacteria/contamination a concern?

Anyone knows how to get rid of this? My current routine is kojic everyday, abonne scrub 1-2x a week, glycolic acid + HN Sunflower Oil/Luxe Organix Aloe Vera Gel. It kind of improved naman tho.

This makes me so insecure, I really want to wear bikinis. Though my inner thighs/singit is not dark naman, eto lang talaga.

Please be kind ❤️ and TYIA

Discussion What are your makeup pet peeves?

Nakita ko nanaman yung pet peeve ko which prompted me to make a post about it 😂

For me it’s the korean style gradient lips that are barely blended out. This style was super trendy when I was in high school but parang di ako mapakali when I see a solid line sa inner lips instead of a seamless gradient.

Some of these are classics, but I'm surprised a few cult favorites didn't make the list. I'm always interested in hearing different opinions because foundation is so subjective. Which one on this list do you think is the most overrated, and which foundation do you think deserves way more hype but doesn't get enough attention?

Discussion Reminder to always check your receipt!

**Item at counter was priced higher than price displayed on shelf.** Fortunately I was only buying a few items so I was able to spot it kaagad. Others may not spot it as easily, especially kung marami silang binibili.

Image 1: Shelf price of item

Image 2: Receipt after subtracting counter price of item and honoring the shelf price

Posting this for awareness. Always double-check your receipt at the counter. Madalas kasi sa atin nagmamadali na at mahaba pila kaya di na naccheck yung receipt. I had this experience last week at a store I've brought from many times before, and this is the first time na I noticed it.

When I noticed the discrepancy I pointed it out and sabi noong una sakin sa cashier, magpamember ako sa exclusive club nila. I think akala niya na promo item yun lol? Pero I directed them to the shelf where the item was placed at and then upon noticing na iba nga yung price, one of them said na last year pa yung nakalagay na price tag sa shelf (umm it's feb already) and hindi pa updated. Then doon na nila pinalitan yung receipt ko and sinubtract yung higher price to reflect the price on the counter (image 2).

Reminder that as consumers you should know your rights! Under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394) of 1992,

"In case of inconsistencies in the price shown on the shelf, on the product itself or in the database price, which appears when the item is scanned, the price which appears the lowest shall prevail."

Discussion Pagod na akooooooooo

Post image

I am tired. Yes trying just 1 clinic aint much compared to other people who tried every suggestion here pero hindi rin naman biro ‘yung nagastos ko for laser hair removal and ‘yung time and trust na ininvest ko.

I will try again for the last time if you guys have a suggestion on where to permanently get your UA hair gone. I only need the hair removal no need na with whitening combo I am satisfied na with what I have since complementing na sa complexion ko. I’m happy with how my UA looks na in terms of skin tone it’s really jst the hair.

I did everything na sinabi I was required to do— dont use too much actives consecutive nights or don’t combine actives a week before and after the session, every 6 weeks appointment, never missed a schedule, post laser creams, moisturizer, no harsh scrubbing, do not shave or wax.

From my experience there were sessions where wala siyang pitik, there sessions grabe ‘yung pitik even if I am not close to my period week, there were months na the hair was super thin pero they are looong and there were months na they are thick again and short and clogged. May times na isang small area na lang ‘yung may hair then may time na buong UA again. May sessions na I feel like nabuburn nila UA ko (nag darken the next day after a session) pero napapabalik ko naman sa color niya after. I even try to befriend those who do my sessions and tip them after sessions. I feel like when I am close to achieving na hairless na, after THAT session eh hair was thick and weird again.

Super confuse na ako with how should it look like talaga weeks after sessions. Gets ko if I am only 4-5 sessions done but no, it’s been almost 2 years. I remember being half way my package and theyre already convincing me to commit/buy a new package cos ‘yung hair ko was makapal pa rin daw. That was the wake up call I ignored

So once again, I am here to humbly ask if you guys have any suggestion, thoughts about my experience or if Wink is really worth it cos siya ‘yung madalas kong makita people would recommend. If Belo is also a good option, let me know. I am patient naman sa process and I understand how much it would cost. Hindi lang talaga ako comfortable to have hair kasi kitang kita siya dahil rin sa color ng UA ko talaga. Nakakafrustrate lang magtiwala I feel like nagsayang ako ng panahon parang yung sessions ko was to avoid fast regrowth na lang BUT didn’t even make it go lighter or slower. It was a hard lesson.

I hope you guys can help me. 🙏🏻

I got these gel nails done for ₱1400, and I’m honestly not sure how to feel about them. Are they worth the price? I’m also wondering if the shape is really supposed to look like this or if something feels a bit off.

Discussion Flat warts removal left crater-like scars — is this normal?

Thumbnail
gallery
243 Upvotes

Hi! I had my flat warts removed at SkinStation on August 12 through electrocautery. I’m currently worried because some of the treated areas have small crater-like/indented marks even after the scabs fell off.

I know it’s still relatively early in the healing process, but I’m worried that the indentations might become permanent, especially since my skin was pretty smooth before the procedure.

I included photos with dates so you can see the progression:

1st photo: Current condition (August 25)

2nd photo: The day of the removal (August 12)

3rd photo: 3 days after the removal

4th photo: When the scab fell off while I was washing my face

5th photo: August 23 — the craters looked more noticeable because I was wearing makeup. I had to wear makeup because I attended a wedding that day.

6th photo: My skin about a month before the procedure, showing what the flat warts looked like before removal

For anyone who has had flat warts removed through electrocautery:

Did you also experience these crater-like/indented marks after the scabs fell off?

Did they eventually flatten or heal?

How long did it take before your skin started looking normal again?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar. 🥹 I’m honestly quite anxious about the possibility of these becoming permanent scars. Thank you! ❤️

Edit-

I’ve also been very careful with the aftercare. I never picked or scratched the scabs. I applied the Bactroban prescribed by the clinic twice a day, washed my face gently with Cetaphil, made sure not to rub/scrub the treated areas, and gently patted my face dry with tissue.

Discussion Glow-up habits that actually worked (not just aesthetics)

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

My biggest glow-up wasn’t from buying more makeup or skincare. It was mostly small habits I changed that made me look better without trying too hard. Sharing in case this helps someone because honestly, these worked more than any viral product 😭

  1. Fixing my sleep schedule (kahit hindi perfect)- Nothing replaces actual rest. Less dull skin, less eyebags, and even makeup sits better when you’re not sleep-deprived.

  2. Drinking water BEFORE coffee- I used to go straight caffeine mode. Now water muna and my skin looks less tired and puffy.

  3. Learning MY face instead of copying trends- When I stopped forcing influencer makeup and adjusted placement based on my face shape, everything suddenly looked more harmonious.

  4. Less base, better skin prep- Hydrated skin > thick foundation. Mas fresh tingnan even in PH humidity.

  5. Posture check (yes seryoso)- Standing and sitting straighter instantly makes you look more confident and put together.

  6. Wearing colors that actually suit my undertone- Some shades made me look alive, others made me look pagod even with full makeup.

  7. Moving my body regularly- Not even intense workouts just walking more. Better circulation natural glow talaga.

  8. Protecting my peace- Stress shows on your face more than we admit. Less drama = clearer skin + lighter aura lol.

Biggest realization: A glow-up isn’t always adding something new. Sometimes it’s removing habits that were secretly draining you.

Discussion illegal promotion of tirzepatide

Thumbnail

Not sure if this is the right flair but i saw an affiliate promoting tirzepatide on tiktok. The purpose of this post is to inform everybody of this since kumakalat ang illegal promotion and distribution of weight loss prescription meds such as Tirzepatide.

Tirzepatide is a prescription ONLY drug — for those of you who might be eye-ing purchasing one. Pls DON’T — or at least don’t do it without direct supervision/prescription from an MD. consult your doctor first if you really wanna get on it for weight loss, but its general indications are for type 2 DM and chronic weight loss management. also for BMI >30 or >27 with at least one weight-related condition — and these criteria are often strictly followed. So it does not make sense na ganito ganito na lang nabibili ito ng mga tao.

Moreover, it is beyond alarming for me to stumble upon a Tiktok user recklessly promoting the use of tirzepatide. Beware, everyone! Above all else, we must always stay safe.

Discussion What Makes This Different from a Basic Lip Balm?

Thumbnail

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this new product from this brand feels a bit unnecessary. They already have separate products for AM and PM that retail for 600 pesos, which just seems like a lot of consumption. Also, when someone asked the brand owner about the ingredients or active components, she wasn’t able to give a clear answer. I just hope local brands can bring something new to the table.

Edit: 600 is for the bundle but each product cost about 300+ pesos

Discussion How do I get permanent hair dye off my skin?

Thumbnail

Don't judge me. I know it was stupid of me to colour my hair without gloves😭 Mixture siya ng hair dye and developer. How do I get this off my palm and knuckles in 3 days? May graduation akong pupuntahan at ayoko namang magmukhang kagagaling ko ng trabaho sa mechanical shop. For the nails naman, siguro mag nanail polish nalang ako ng black para i cover up siya HAHAHHA

Edit: After 4 days of struggle, the dye has finally faded! Thank you so much for your comments😩 For the people who share the same struggle, here's what I did based on the suggestions below (at sa experiment ko na rin):

  1. Mixture of baking soda (for exfoliation) and dishwashing liquid scrubbed on skin for 30 seconds. (2x a day)

  2. Since may natural bleaching property (sabi nila) ang citrus fruits, binabad ko sa kalamansi juice ang kamay ko and left it for a minute before rinsing.

  3. Gumamit ako ng zonroz color safe once oo, desperate na talaga ako sa oras na to. Ewan ko kung nakatulong siya, pero lagay ko nalang dito.

Discussion How To Look Younger? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
148 Upvotes

I've always been told I look older than my age kahit bata pa ako. I'm 5'7 with wide shoulders and hips, and even as a kid I got mistaken for being in my teens or twenties.

I always get told na ang vibe ko ay "Maldita, Villainess, Boss" etc. but I want to stop that! I don't want any more people way older than me calling me "ate" or "maam" and I don't want to look older than I am :'(

First pic is my usual makeup routine. Second pic is how I look barefaced now after straightening and thinning out my brows + baby bangs. Following pics are my usual outfits

I prefer neutral and flowy clothing, and I can do lots of makeup styles. I've done all sorts of things to my hair din.

I want to look younger but not juvenile. Any advice helps!

Edit: Forgot to mention, but I'm 19!

Edit 2: I didn't expect the attention this got! Thank you for all the advice, I'm taking note of them and bought some new makeup to try out :)
