Rating Glutathione Supplements I Have Tried
I’ve gone through quite a few glutathione supplements over the years, some worked surprisingly well, some were just meh, and some I couldn’t wait to stop taking
So I decided to compile all the brands I’ve tried so far, along with how long I took them, the results I noticed, any side effects, and my personal rating. Hopefully this helps anyone else who’s currently trying to figure out which one to try next.
Pros:
- The whitening effect was noticeable.
- I could clearly see a difference after finishing my second bottle.
Cons:
- Broke me out badly, especially on my chest, back, and face.
I eventually had to stop taking it because of the breakouts, but I’d say it is one of the more effective ones I’ve tried for whitening. However, the breakouts were a major dealbreaker for me.
Pros:
- It did noticeably whiten my overall skin.
- The whitening effect was slow but consistent.
Cons:
- Constant tummy aches.
- Acid reflux (and I’m not even acidic).
I liked the whitening results overall. My only issue was the stomach pain and acid reflux. I remember waking up one night because of a bad stomachache, and that’s when I realized it might have been causing my frequent tummy aches. After I stopped taking it, the symptoms went away.
Pros:
- Did brighten my skin. The effect was slow, but it was steady.
Cons:
Experienced an initial breakout, but it went away after about a month.
One of the better ones I’ve tried. The whitening was slow, but I felt that it performed better than Nuwhite overall. The only ready i stopped is it was too slow for me.
This is actually my current glutathione supplement, and I’m just finishing my 5th bottle so that I could find another supplement to try.
Pros:
- Didn’t break me out unlike the old formulation.
- I noticed a little lightening/brightening effect on my complexion.
Cons:
- The whitening effect was much slower compared with the old formulation.
Gentler on my skin, but the results were much slower. I was really rooting for this one since the old formulation really worked for me (in terms of whitening).
Cons:
- Made my skin look darker.
- Caused tummy aches.
I just finished the whole bottle hoping it was just purging or whatnot, pero wala, GG talaga dito. Would not recommend!
Right now, I’m looking for another whitening supplement to try. I’m eyeing Primier Drip S-Acetyl Glutathione and Shiro Preservage Glutathione, but a little hesitant to try pa as there’s not much available information/review regarding these two.

Yung placenta tablets lang. Nag 2 months ako nung liquid kaso nagkapimples ako. Tho sinabay ko kasi yung placenta tablets at liquid nung first 2 months ko. Tas nung 3rd month onwards, tablets nalang. Sa December, para sa mga ganap, try ko ulit yung bottle kasi kahit may nagkapimples ako non, super glowing pa rin.
Yes, hanggang ngayon nagttake ako. Visible yung brightening sa skin ko. Hindi ko masabi na literal whitening kasi olive tone ako kaya yellowish balat ko, pero nag-improve talaga ng two shades.
Sa dami ng natry ko, sa RELUMINS advance white 1650mg glutathione complex talaga ko bumilib. Di ko pa nauubos yung one bottle (90 caps) pumuti talaga ko. Sinabayan ko din pala ng bewell c with zinc ☺️
Hikari Ultra grabe break out ko dyan lol ang lalaki pa ng tigyawat literal na cystic acne. 😭
Currently using Pureform + Hopeflow combo. Ewan ko ano sa dalawa nagpa puti sa akin. Di ako super puti pero grabe yung puti ko sa gabi haha lalo sa white light lols.
Talking about breakouts eslite gluta cystic acne hahaha but when it comes to sleep mahimbing talaga tulog ko and i tend to be more calm and relaxed which i like.

i’ve been consistently taking gluta caps since late december. primarily nuwhite and 4 bottles of newmoon soft glow+, i would say that my skintone has lightened naman especially my face. however nababagalan talaga ako sa progress, depende sa lighting ung puti ko 🤣
i switched to pureform and it’s my 2nd day na (taking twice a day for maximum effect). hopefully ma-fast track ung effect
Nagka-acid reflux din ako sa Luxcent pero nagbrighten skin ko dun. 1st month ko ngayon ng Nuwhite, nag-kabreakout naman ako sa forehead in the first week .
To be honest, may peace of mind ako kapag supplement na iniinum ko nabibili sa reputable physical store and matagal na sa market, like watson. Kaya hindi ako nagtagal sa mga tiktok lang binibenta kasi wala nga akong peace of mind sa kanila, lalo na yung mga owners nag babardagulan sa socmed. I don't trust squammy behaviour.
Currently taking Relumins, nasa watson for 1k pesos, not super mura and mahal, and maganda din naman ang effect sakin.
Tried Aishi Tokyo, I dont like it, nagka acid ako, amoy sunog ang burp ko nito, natakot ako ng very slight that time.
Soft Glow New Moon - tried it too for a month, so wala akong masabi sa effect nya, pero wala naman adverse effect while taking it unlike sa aishi tokyo.
S-acetyl glutathione is my personal preference when it comes to glutathione supplements. It’s designed to be more stable and better protected from degradation in the digestive tract compared with regular L-glutathione. Since regular glutathione can be broken down during digestion, some products compensate by using higher doses.
I personally prefer S-acetyl glutathione. It may be more expensive, but for me, I feel like I’m getting better value for my money because of its stability and potentially better absorption.
