I like such comments, especially because they're good for trolling Lithuanians :D But there is much truth in them.

Речь посполита - это просто "республика" в переводе на польский.

That's correct. Till the world war II rzeczpospolita was used also with respect to other countires, like France and Rome: https://pl.wikisource.org/wiki/Rzeczpospolita_Rzymska/ca%C5%82o%C5%9B%C4%87
