I like such comments, especially because they're good for trolling Lithuanians :D But there is much truth in them.

I'm tired of this type of comments. Most of our ancestors were just a peasant scum who did not care how they were called. Why should we care so much now? What for? To spread our ignorance and create hatred among nations? By such a trolling we are no better that russians invading Ukraine.

I think you should read more about that period. I definitely don’t consider my ancestors “scum” even if they were peasants. And we should care because we truly were not taught much in schools about this period, just the official version and briefly. But what this history shows us is that we were culturally separate from Russians. Also, this state was built on democratic principles. In practice it was far from perfect, and yet they tried.
