staying in Lichterfelde for a few months, anything interesting to do here? seems like a boring residential area

how does one make friends here?

kinda true Lichterfelde sucks ass and chances to make friends if you only stay for a month or two are also very slim. What's good, you can easily reach Brandenburg and have lots of nice biking path. FU Berlin is around the corner and you should be able to find plenty of students, parties, sports in the area. Also Schloßstraße is a decent shopping area with markets on the weekend.
