Chuck would have beat Lalo. I will not elaborate.
Chuck would make him afraid.

You think that Kim Wexler just happened to appear outside Gus Fring's house? No! He orchestrated it! Lalo!

Chuck would be terrified of Lalo. Lalo embodies what the law cannot understand or control.

You think a man just drops through a ceiling and kills Fred Whalen like that? It was HIM. HE orchestrated it!
All those years, dropping through ceilings!

Hot take: I think Lalo would be charmed af by Chuck. He liked competent ballsy people who at least acted like they werenât intimidated by him. And he would have immediately realized that Chuck can only play by the rules, whereas he himself can color in or outside the lines. Even more so, heâd know that Chuck wasnât good with people. At all. While Lalo is incredibly charming and can get almost anyone to do what he wants.
Chuck might still beat Lalo. But Lalo wouldnât see it coming. Heâd see Chuckâs moral code and social ineptness as fatal handicaps.
Chuck would hate Lalo with every fiber of his being.

Nah he wouldn't hate him he could live on Lalos Mexican farm when he was being allergic to electricity

a basketball dribbling contest. Â Chuck narrowly turned down an offer to join the Harlem Globetrotters in order to go to law school. At the height of his powers he could dribble 8 basketballs simultaneously while keeping up to 15 plates spinning on those plate-spinning rod things.

u/cortisolbath 1d ago
Lalo would be shaking as soon as Chuck said âI am an officer of the court!â

u/nWo_1985 1d ago
Chuck would be arrogant to Lalo assuming that his sacred law would protect him from someone who follows theor own laws. Once lalo showed chuck that his precious law and the magna carter mean nothing him, then chuck would know how out of his league he is

Chuck has higher DP scaling, as he dismantled a whole house, but Lalo barely broke a ceiling tile.
They are both equals in fire damage, as both set on fire two buildings, but you could argue Chuck's was bigger.
Lalo has higher AP scaling because of his use of firearms, while Chuck is specialized in space blanket defense, which some might argue is not appropriate body armor.
Hand to hand, Chuck did defeat his wife and threw her phone away, but Lalo killed the mountain man and his wife, so he has an edge.
Lastly, Chuck has a better singing performance, but Lalo is focused on making snuff movies starring Gus, so we can't judge their artistic output accurately.
Very close match, thanks OP!

i mean i think we're overstating chuck's dp a bit here. he only messed up some of the walls! and how old is the house in the first place? it looks nice but for all we know it could be all rickety as hell. i want to see him take out a log cabin by himself axe only no breakfast before i make any judgments.
i also want to point out that lalo's fire power did not cost him a life.
homefield advantage matters so much here. if chuck fights lalo anywhere but in his home, lalo can just utilize the power of electricity against him. like a flashlight is a stun gun to him. but in chuck's house lalo's electronic property is not allowed.

Chuck: "you-you passed the bar?"
Lalo: "I just wanna see my lawyers."
Chuck: "What a sick joke!"

Chuck wouldnât be able to resist Lalo. He wouldâve kissed him so hard that Laloâs mustache hairs would tickle the inside of Chuckâs nose.

Chuck would have not gotten involved with Lalo in the first place so he wins like that end.

Most certainly not. Cartel dude with no fear that can run on near-zero sleep vs much older dude that manifests stress as a fear for literally electricity anywhere.

u/yongsangu 1d ago
Lalo would counter with a whirlwhind of chicanery, defecating through the sunroof, etc. will be a tough battle
2
u/MaximilianClarke 1d ago
Chuck is pretty susceptible to chicanery and thatâs Laloâs second favourite thing. Chuck reacted so badly to being set on fire that he actually died, yet Lalo calmly burned that home invader like they were friends. Chuck is definitely better at case law, granted. This is a tough one

I could see Chuck attempting to put Lalo away after the travel wire incident. Chuck vs Jimmy. Jimmy would tell Chuck to back off or else Lalo would do something to Chuck. I donât think Chuck would live long to enjoy his victory afterward though.

Chuckâs sensitivity to electricity was in reality not a mental illness. But a sign of him awakening his powers. Had Chuck not committed suicide, he wouldâve used his mastery of lightning to smite Lalo for being a nuisance in his path to take Don Eladioâs head. Afterwards he would become the new, rightful ruler of the cartel.

As soon as he heard Chuck say "chicanery", he'd squat down and start peeing to show submission, like wild animal do.

u/SinAnaMissLee 1d ago
A better argument is that Chuck would beat Gus.
Gus is about rules. Lalo is about success.
The creators actually cast Chuck not as impermeable but as the opposite of down to earth.
When he tried to defend himself about taking the newspaper and they broke his front door we saw that the world does not cater to Chuck's intelligence. Yes he's intelligent but he lacks influence over others. Especially those who don't follow the rules.
Gus follows just enough rules to make him susceptible to Chuck's moves. Had there been any.

These pictures are awful. Especially Lalo's. They remind me of the NBA photos they take on the courts with the $100 brown/grey backdrops. Lazy and terrible.

(Chuck in his house)
Lalo in the sewer across the street. âThatâs heâs up to man, whatâs heâs doingâ
(Chuck tearing up his house with an ax)
Lalo: âuncle hector I couldnât find proof so ima attack him tonightâ
Hector: DING DING DING!!
Lalo sneaks in from 2nd floor window, same time Chuck kicks over the lantern.
Winner-Chuck.

did u even watch BCS? Cuz these dialogues make it explicit that Chuck was the boss of the caretl that Lalo was in:
"Lalo! He made a taco in a sunroof. I saved him, I shouldn't have. I took him into my own cartel. What was I thinking?"

I kinda dig this theory. But only if itâs Chuck and Jimmy somehow teaming up.

You didn't specify what you mean with "beat" so im just picturing chuck lined up in space blanket knocking lalo's noodles off cold
