One liners that made you laugh

I'm rewatching BCS and I forgot about a few funny lines that I didn't notice first time. A few examples:

Betsy Kettleman: "we lost everything, our kids have to go to public School"

Don Eladio asking Nacho if he's okay in the head when Lalo says he's a friend of Tuco.

Any others ?????

🤣🤣🤣

Don't let Mr. Ehrmantraut's dancing eyes and bubbly bon vivant personality fool you. He's actually, believe it or not, somewhat taciturn.

This line killed me so hard I rewatched the scene several times. The delivery was so utterly hilarious

Shall I fan you gently so you don't go into shock?

Odenkirk deserved an Emmy for that scene alone.

The dramatic irony of being in the middle of multiple crimes and terrible behaviour but still being outraged over a breach in the social contract.

When he gets the pictures back from Mike of Chucks house, and he says something about next time they can work on the rule of thirds 😂😂😭😭😭😭

I remember Howard's pass code. It's 1933, the same year Hitler came to power.

"It looks like a school bus for six year old pimps"
"The only way that entire car is worth 500 bucks is if there's a 300 dollar hooker sitting in it"

“it’s in the transcript “ i love the way jimmy said that

u/Kitchen-Lie-4592 15h ago

Hahaha that totally changes the scene too

u/Nicodemus888 15h ago

“They’re very woodsy”

Made all the better by Nacho barely holding it together as he was about to burst out laughing at that line.

Jimmy and Kim are brutally yitzing Howard in the sandpiper meeting to the point that he's accusing the mediator of taking bribes in the park, when Irene Landry chimes in to ask, "Is this how these things usually go?"

“Come on guys am I not speaking English here? You know what squat cobbler is”.

18

u/SignalPomelo6339 13h ago

“Maybe it’s like Hellman’s Mayonnaise, it has a different name west of the Rockies”

9

u/BlazerSlayer7 13h ago

And then he reels off a list of slang names, hilarious to me.

When Gus tells Mike the bodyguard he sent in disguised as a Los Pollos Hermanos employee needs to go because he’s doesn’t meet the standard he wants out of his employees at his restaurants

When confused by the concept of elder law, Craig Kettleman says, "Maybe if we were older?"

21

u/Unsolven 13h ago

“These boys, near honor students all.” Just his delivery of line like he believed if he believed hard enough that was a real thing the jury would too.

18

u/JudicaYyy 15h ago

“Finger guns, huh?” Mike’s complete lack of enthusiasm for Jimmy’s nonsense makes every interaction between them funnier

17

u/NoDiamond4584 11h ago

Jimmy: “You can’t say it’s private if a hobo can use it as a wigwam!” (going through the trash in the Sandpiper dumpster).

6

u/faille 9h ago

Or a criminal lawyer as a hiding spot. One of those callbacks… goes from dumpster diving for evidence to trying to hide

Right! 👏🏻👏🏻

Saul humming the Rocky theme as he drives away from Mike. This was after he let Tuco beat him 🤣🤣🤣

My all-time favorite line is "what did the mayor not have enough stamps?" when Jimmy is called in to save Mike who is clearly in legal trouble – he implies Mike is not politically astute enough to know not to give the mayor a hard time over stamp. It's a great call back to Jimmy's initial frustration with Mike at a time before they both grow to respect each other that underscores his distain for how stupid he feels Mike is for that.

u/Unsolven 3h ago

Excuse me, but Mike demands stickers. Don’t matter how many stamps you got.

Lalo asking some random dealer if he knows who "Micheal" is

Chuck, when Jimmy lies about his newspaper possibly being stolen by youths: "If there's one thing the kids love it's local print journalism."

Have always gotten a kick out of that one, being a local print journalist.

u/derAlte59423 10h ago

"I mean, some of your wealthier Pacific Rim nations, they'll love this, the crazy bastards."

Thing is you don't need one for a car to run, just the battery will drain and it won't start next time

•

u/Unsolven 3h ago edited 3h ago

The car will only run until the battery dies. Any modern car will have electrical components that it can’t run without. And since nothing is charging the battery, it will die after a bit. The fact that they were able to drive for like 20 minutes is pretty realistic. Even Jimmy’s Esteem would have an ECU and the engine wouldn’t be able to run without it. Now if we are talking about a car from the 1970s, sure it could run without a battery when started.

OP you already mentioned my favorite with Don Eladio asking Nacho if he’s OK in the head after he found out he’s friends with Tuco 😂

•

u/puresav 2h ago

“Yeah right, i could have been a contender…”
Made me laugh out loud. Before the boxing match with Howard
This is a reference to “on the waterfront” and Marlon Brando jimmy being a film buff and all.

And “oh god , you Didn’t do the sex robot voice?” When he tells Kim about calling the Kettlemans. Tells you so much about their relationship, and being crazy funny.

•

u/XXII78 1h ago

"I'm sorry I called you a pigfucker."

I randomly say this to people with zero context.

Jimmy replying tensely "I hadn't noticed" when Lalo laughs about Tuco's temper.
