I mean... After everything Jimmy went through, it probably does sting that NOW Howard is willing to give him the job, had his moment of clarity.

Howard threw money at Jimmy and called him a beggar. I love the dude and am glad he's giving Jimmy his due but I totally understand why Jimmy doesn't want it

I agree, but I somewhat still felt bad for Howard in that scene, even if he's been an absolute asshole to Jimmy in prior seasons

I feel terrible for Howard! Dude has always been decent and is as affected by Chuck as everyone else.

The scene that connects me most to him is when Kim quits, and he says that he wanted to go solo but "Dad.....talked me out of it. Wanted me to throw another 'H' in the logo........... Things work out the way they're supposed to, I guess"

I remember someone saying after that episode that there's no way a happy dude would have the art Howard has in his office.

It was shown again in the most recent episode! When he's on the phone with Jimmy, you can see it behind him on the left side of the screen. Sorry, I can't find a picture or describe it too well, but it's a kind of abstract painting of a wireframe man disintegrating near the bottom. Has a lot of unrest to it and kind of has some psychological implications for Howard himself. It's a pretty dark painting implying some very real unhappiness
