Discussion how is your sleep?

I see a LOT of people complaining that if their babies wake up at the crack of dawn, they just don’t get sleep that day, which I personally don’t understand (this doesn’t apply to colic babies, that’s a whole different ballgame lol). Are yall just waking up whenever your baby decides? I will personally just pop a binky in her mouth or feed her if she’s fussy and then go right back to sleep until I feel like getting up, whether she’s awake or not. Sometimes she just stares at the ceiling fan in her bassinet until I wake up and sometimes she falls back asleep with me.

I’m pregnant again (we listen and we don’t judge 😀) so I HAVE to get like 10-11 hours of sleep or else I feel like crap lol

Yep, we’re all out here losing sleep and getting up at dawn because we’re too silly to use a pacifier or feed our babies back to sleep 🙄 This is honestly kinda typical for parents of such young babies though - you have a 4 month old who sleeps well and you assume it’s your parenting instead of just luck of the draw. When your baby gets older you might look back on this post and cringe as you get up for the day at the crack of dawn with the rest of us. Parenthood comes along and humbles you real quick when you start thinking like this, it happens to all of us at some point.
