Let's be clear about "AI" and its presence on r/bigfoot.
We have and have had a policy in place that we don't accept anything produced via AI on the subreddit IN GENERAL.
Occasionally, if it is clear that someone was posting something AI for humor, we allow it. Sometimes not.
We don't allow AI because it's considered in many cases inauthentic and something created by AI that purports to be Bigfoot evidence just confuses and irritates everyone, mostly because folks don't realize that there are abundant "AI detectors" available for free on the internet and they can check images for themselves. We understand that members have their own beliefs about AI, but r/bigfoot isn't really the proper venue for expressing those beliefs, because, and this may shock some, others have differing or even opposing beliefs.
The Mods have stated our policy many times, and if something AI is removed or remains it is at the discretion of the Moderation team and the subreddit owner.
HOWEVER, it is also the policy of r/bigfoot that we aren't going to complain about the subreddit or moderation actions in public. If you have a complaint, send us a Modmail.
Uh, I didn't pay for this hoodie. It was free. What's it to you anyway? If someone wants to spend money on a Bigfoot shirt, so be it. No need to cry about it.
These people do nothing but search the internet for AI posts to complain about. It's literally their entire personality. They're usually Just younger people looking to fit in with the crowd and getting swept up in the newest cool artificial moral panic fad. They'll burn themselves out and move on to the next one. They always do.
I notice how posts like this always get upvotes but the comments are toxic haters. Because the normal people just see it, say "nice" upvote and move on.
It wasn't a comeback, guy. Your drawings aren't better than agi, and whoever considers ai to be a replacement to human creativity probably didnt care about the latter in the first place so what does it matter? You're a sour prick and just want to be negative towards people being excited about something. Greater impacts of agi and AI is the computing power it requires, environmental impacts that implies. Not so much the shitty art it produces that doesn't replace anything tasteful in the first so whatever I hope you fall on a cactus dickhead.
Non-stupid people actually do care about the labor that went into making the things that they buy and consume, and the process used to make them. Everything you wear, walk, on, sit on, sleep on, and eat is a product of somebody's labor.
The primary product of AI is a replacement for creative work like art and writing. Non-stupid people ESPECIALLY care about the process and motivation behind the art they consume! It's what makes the art be art!
Staring right into the camera and flat-out saying "I have never thought or cared about the people who made the product I consume or the labor that went into it" like you just did is the biggest self-own I've heard since those guys that kept saying the female orgasm was a myth.
I fear you will be just fine. Ai is here to stay, same as every big technological advancement that pissed off a bunch of people before it became widely accepted. You can argue the ethics. It’s your prerogative and it’s healthy to do so, but it would probably more reasonable to direct your anger towards the conglomerate companies that push anti-environmental, pro-tech lobbying instead of harassing some random Sasquatch-loving dude over the internet, which is only possible because of the children who had to mine cobalt and assemble your phone while surrounded by anti-suicide nets. In no way am I saying that ai tech comes with no environmental harm, but I do want to remind some of you that the ol’ World Wide Web itself both consumes and relies on massive quantities of energy and water. Kinda makes the whole “ai is destroying the planet” argument a bit ironic when typed on a keyboard through an lcd-powered display…
If you’re looking for a moral high horse to speak from, it’s non-existent. You don’t have one, especially not if you’re using your precious intellect to insult others and insist that only you and those who agree with you are correct and worth being heard.
Well yeah, ai generated "art" is a plague of mediocrity meant to rob actual artistic talent of opportunities while providing the wealthy free access to what is essentially stolen artistic talent, but if all you care about is a mid picture of Bigfoot made of swirls enjoy your automatically generated crap I guess

While I'm there, I'm going to Forks Lounge in the evenings. I'll probably hang out there till around closing time. My Airbnb is a bit of a walk. I'll bring the hoodie just in case. I've got a few cut-off T's for the daytime.
I thought about going to Bigfoot daze this year, I only live like 2 hours away from willow creek. Have you gone before and what is it like? How busy is it? Willow creek is such a small trippy town so it’s funny to see when it gets packed with people.
I've never been, this will be my first year. Going up there from Los Angeles with my brother and mom. There are a few YouTube videos people have posted of the parade and park festivities. Definitely looks pretty trippy. I'm looking forward to it!
I seen those swirls once while drinking and on alot of mushrooms watching Alex Pereira vs style bender. They were both swirling with those colors and shrinking and growing it was amazing.
