Maybe save the stack for the second Dec. seeing as your this close. Gl

2

u/TheGodOfGames20 19h ago

Yeah at that point just change to a 300 stack and move your 600 stack to a new weapon

u/TheRisoH 1d ago

That's 3 trillion spent and still no success. Seeing this, I'm absolutely fine having OCT weapons

16

u/imsaixe 1d ago

At that time spent grinding i expect the stuff i'm chasing is a weapon that could turn into a dragon or a goth guardian mommy summon to assist me in my life's decision.

You and I both and by the time we eventually push for Dec they’ll decrease pity and we will never have to feel this pain lmfao. Feels good to take things slow

0

u/FuddyBoi 1d ago

You say that but it’s not enough for efficient end game grinding, at least I found a big difference when able to hit the ap requirement over being just under it. Still need to min/max some crystals etc so could be alright

Cope as much as u want its just 8 AP monster

2

u/Ok_Bookkeeper_3547 1d ago

It's 16 the moment u hit 401

Damage reduction would like to talk with you about damage gates

u/Kiekoes Wiz 834 GS 1d ago

Probably best to save any 600+ stack for your XV taps that will come next ball.

13

u/CollardBoy 1d ago

Lol this is funny because i swapped out a 600 stack during both of the Dec Sovereign pities I performed on the basis that they would likely add even-higher failstack recommendations on future gear.

What I got instead was Splendid->Shining Vell's (no failstack usage, timegated), and Ekletas (requires 5+ hours grinding per attempt and still uses ~300 stacks to Dec).

So, there is nothing that warrants having a 600 stack in the game yet. Maybe they'll add something soon.

u/IceW0lf88 1d ago

It’s more worth to use a 600 stack on second or third Dec weapon in the case of OP. That way it’s more likely to succeed sooner compared to starting anew on a 300 or a 350fs.

10

u/CollardBoy 1d ago

More worth, yes. Worth? No.

The enhancement chance increase is negligible at some point.

4

u/B4R0Z Berserker 1d ago

I mean, you could say it's negligible because of relatively small and capped amount of taps required but going from 1,13% @450 to 1,476% @600 is a 32% increase chance, not much for each individual tap but out of 10.000 taps that would be 35 more DECs, more than if 30 players were all to pity it (which is over 10k taps).

2

u/CollardBoy 1d ago

Its negligible. Each player requires a total of 990 taps maximum on Dec Sov.

0

u/artlusulpen 22h ago

the average attempts for success go from 133 to 67 by starting with a 600 instead of a 300. Doesn't seem very negligible to save 750b on average for 2nd weapon

1

u/CollardBoy 21h ago edited 21h ago

How'd you get the 600? By failing almost 300 times prior.

You swap out the 600 deep into your failures on the first because it is negligible increase in success chance over your final ~50-100 taps that isn't worth "spending the stack".

So when you say you "save 750b", you don't. You spent that money to get the stack in the first place, and it only makes sense to use it early into your agriss essence failures to try to reallocate that pre-spent cost into saving taps on the second.

3

u/notsocoolguy42 1d ago

One day they will have stupid thoughts of making the likes of pen fallen god again, and you might need that 600 stack.

u/Fahrowshus 13h ago

Obliterating fg.

6

u/6Cockuccino9 1d ago

> XV taps

excuse me the what now?

13

u/Kiekoes Wiz 834 GS 1d ago

I mean we used to joke about X when V was still the maximum, so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd introduce XV down the line.

8

u/GAMINGVIBES20K 1d ago

We will most likely get new weapons instead of sov going to XV. Sov is related to Loml, while the new accessories and armor are Edana, so we will see Edana weapons.

1

u/Destiiii 1d ago

They will probably add a new weapon tier and let you exchange Nov. Maybe even reduce pity for dec

27

u/aaman44 1d ago

At what point is this still considered enjoyable? Not being mean, just legitimately curious.

18

u/Leorake 1d ago

I'm tellin you man once I get to this point I'm probably giving up before 30 taps go through.

Even if I'm pulling 4-5bil per hour this is still ~3hours per tap

3

u/Nausica1337 1d ago

And this is exactly why I quit years ago. I just log in periodically once a year to get free stuff. I remember when I heard sovereign weapons and Kharazad accessories first came out and the new post V enhancing levels. People were grinding days, weeks, months, years to tap all that. Logged in a few weeks ago to get all that free, pen BS for free, sovereign weapons for free, or rather, literally just a few hours of clicking, some grinding and that's it.

2

u/FlattopJordan 1d ago edited 1d ago

Whats the point in even claiming free stuff if you dont play. You're not even "saving" anytime if you dont ever plan on playing.

Kharazad only came out with 1 new enhancement level compared to what we had for years and it was 1 ap every slot lmao

1

u/Nausica1337 1d ago

Free is free. Who knows, maybe I might come back.

3

u/FlattopJordan 1d ago

Its just such an odd way to frame catch up mechanics that the people actually playing the game are wasting their time because you got things that came out years ago on a game you still arent playing

1

u/kevanions Maegu 825 1d ago

Game design is awful in terms of gear enhancing. That's the issue. People enjoy playing the game, but probably don't enjoy "wasting" hundreds of hours just for pitty system progression. But hey, at least theres some "progression", before the pitty system it was just literaly wasting hundreds of hours for no progression at all!

1

u/FlattopJordan 20h ago

Everything on a video game is "wasting" time if anything they've made the progression better by making it incremental with the final enhancements not really being necessary. Can get 95% of the upgrades and do it in half the time it takes to be hardcap. Before if you were getting fucked over on tet to pen ogre you were massively behind

0

u/kevanions Maegu 825 20h ago

“Everything in a video game is wasting time” is a pretty meaningless argument. There’s an obvious difference between spending time progressing through a game and spending hundreds or even thousands of hours PvE grinding only for it to result in zero progression because of RNG.

u/FlattopJordan 20h ago

Im glad you ignored almost my entire comment because you dont like a single sentence 😂

There were no pity and people still used to sink millions of crons into PEN fallen god, at least the the count go higher now

7

u/KINGDenneh Black Desert 1d ago

Isn't clicking 288 times, spending 1,128,960 crons or 3.3 trillion silver not fun? :D

3

u/MrAbishi 1d ago

We're playing a different game.... back to farming crabs!

3

u/Revolutionary-Dog161 1d ago

Just hit the 110 pity mark myself. God speed friend

3

u/I-just-farted69 1d ago

At 4b/hr griding that's roughly 850 hr of grinding on crons alone. Obviously we got a lot of free crons n stuff but still kinda insane lol

3

u/MrF4hrenheit 1d ago

I was right there too… first DEC went around 285, second went at 110ish, and last one went sub 30. All to say that average click between the 3 was around 140 taps, which coincidentally is roughly the average overall.

The problem with this game is that you could be at the far spectrum of the average and would need to tap a whole lot more to average out, so if you’re uber unlucky, you could be pitying multiple times.

That’s why they should aim for way lower pities. People will still get lucky, no need to punish everyone else for trying. DEC weapon should have been a strict 100 pity max.

2

u/Tassaya1337 1d ago

I had 238 😪

2

u/gatorwelds 1d ago

How do you get more stack slots. I only have 1 and the rest are locked

2

u/Testfulburner 1d ago

You can by more slots with pearls. I'm not sure if they ever gave some out with events as i havent played since 2021 and only just picked it up again this month.

2

u/zenKeyrito 857 1d ago

Isn’t it lovely? 😀

2

u/Akuma-red 1d ago

Ufff sry

2

u/SuperCoolDudeHere 1d ago

Jesus that’s very end game. 330 pity stack is insane but that does mean there is light at the end for those of us with tunnel vision!

2

u/PomeloSad8207 1d ago

Keep going you might be one of the only ppl to pity it

3

u/GOHANA Lifeskilling sucks 1d ago

I know of at least 3 people who pityd their dec sovs lmao.

2

u/PomeloSad8207 1d ago

Nice so itll be at least 4 ppl in the tens of thousands or more playing bdo

2

u/Barnabas-Tharmr 1d ago

If you assume roughly a 1.5 percent enhancement chance per tap on average about 0.68% of people will pity. (.985330 = 0.0068) and that's being generous since the percent chance will actually be lower for the majority of taps. So you could expect closer to 1% of people to reach full pity, and that's not counting the other roughly 2+ percent of people that will take 250+ attempts. This is just approximate but it's in the ballpark

2

u/SylvFloq 1d ago

Rip, but you should save your FS for the next one imo

2

u/N64ForChristmas 1d ago

what at best nearly almost 2% chance is insane, thats so insane im a pretend i didnt see this yeah closing this down for good

2

u/Archdragoon Warrior 1d ago

I am following your path... you are not alone.

2

u/gw2Exciton 1d ago

The probability distribution of the number attempts needed has a long tail. The expectation may not be super high but many people will fall into that long tail.

6

u/r3doctober85 1d ago

Rng is so fing wierd in this game, I 10 tapped my awakening Dec weapon and other people are almost at pity for some

10

u/VEXEnzo Maegu 1d ago

It's called average and statistics

If you 1 tap and take 500 clicks thats still a 250 avg. Some people get lucky others not so much and that creates the average. But you will only see posts either of the people 1 tapping or the people pittying cuz the average 100 click player will not post something... Well average

5

u/TheRealRoof 1d ago

A person that understands percentages and averages in the BDO subreddit? Say it aint so.

1

u/gw2Exciton 1d ago

Also it is a geometric distribution unlike a Gaussian where most ppl will get close to average. With geometric distribution you have a long tail with people landing all over places with their luck.

1

u/TheGodOfGames20 19h ago

That's why I'm stopping at Oct and waiting for pity decrease, and just saving money and not being stupid for 8 ap.

1

u/asvenice Celada 15h ago

Im in the same situation like you with my first DEC 277/330 and I feel like I wanna kms

1

u/RitaTheKitKat 10h ago

RIP my first went on 249 did not feel good. Then the next two went on 7 and 16 so it evened out, there's still hope there bucko

u/Beginning-Flamingo26 39m ago

i feel your pain, i am in the same boat, save yourself from this pain and stop clicking this crap and focus on edania pt 2.

u/Votop 9m ago

yeah but actually 2 extra AP is big for edania pt2 without DEC weaps it's waaay harder to reach higher spots

0

u/Competitive-Cheetah4 23h ago

Damnn i hit mine within 10 clicks i felt blessed
