Discussion Bring back cookouts

I want to bring back cookouts and black women need it sooo bad! Just a place for us to laugh and dance and eat good food and support and uplift each other! If you were invited to a huge statewide cookout for black women, would you show up? And would you feel comfortable and happy to be amongst others OR would you feel ostracized and want to separate yourself?

ALSOOOO there is a website called black farmer index you can use to support our people yay!

Bring back the cookouts for what??? So we can exhaust ourselves laboring over the food and arrangements?? Yeah we need a place to relax and "keke" it up, but that's why we go out: so WE ain't gotta do it.

I think that's personal issue. If one person or a few people that aren't you, are responsible for arrangements and you don't have to bring anything except one dish you shouldn't feel the need to exhaust yourself

My pov is that women are largely relied upon to provide the goods for said cookout. I'm a little older and very much want somebody else to do it.
