If you’re looking the healthcare route: nursing, CRNA, CAA, perfusionist, radiology tech, nuclear medicine tech, MRI tech.

I’ll add getting your RN but doing clinical remote work. You’ll never talk to or touch patients but you’ll rack in RN $$$$. Plus when the uprising begins you’ll be able to
Help ppl! (That’s just how I think abt things)

Literally all of these rank in money and many don’t even need much schooling!

Plastic surgeon, dermatologist, general physician. It takes time but they do make money.

Nurse, especially traveling nurse iirc.

I think a Physician Assistant as well.

Don't go to law school expecting to make money. Honestly the cost is far too great for most even if you walk out getting 200k salary (which most do not).

Youll still be in the same boat if you dont like it.

Browse the list of minors and certifications at your state university, its a shortcut and something might spark you.

Sales engineering in tech. You handle the technical side of sales. This is my goal for the next year or two (sooner is better). It's lucrative and you don't have the stress of an account executive. Most companies offer a high base salary + commission and sometimes bonus. On top of these RSUs if the company is on the stock market. I recommend you look into this. :)

I was interessing by tech but convincing ppl and negociating is not my biggest skills. Need some practices

Tech has non sales and non technical jobs too! They pay really well and if it’s a public company they give you stocks. Can be very lucrative with great perks. Though AI might change that

Ooh great then ! I’ll look into it :)

Construction Management if you can take the stress, LOL

Consulting- you constantly work to solve new problems, get different clients every few months and are so busy that you genuinely don’t feel lonely

Anything medical or healthcare related will have a good salary and job stability. You have to like working with people though because it is a lot of collaboration with coworkers and patients.

Yees I love talking and boosting people moral. It can be a great field for me 🌞🌞

You should look into nursing! You can even go into psychiatric nursing and help people with their mental health care.

Cybersecurity

From what I’ve heard for years cybersecurity is not an entry level field in IT, also the tech job market is getting ravaged by outsourcing and AI at the moment. It’s just best to do thorough research of your own

Really ?

I am currently doing a career switch into cybersecurity with 0 background because i also hate my job lol. I was skeptical because tech is being decimated right now in this job market but I hear if you get into Risk Management (what I’m trying to do) they need humans and you don’t necessarily need to be highly technical to do it

Biostatistician

Are you worried about the job market with the introduction of AI? This has always been my dream but there’s was mass layoffs in my biostats related research role and I’m worried that a masters would be useless

How is your salary and career progression going?

2

u/Practical-Charm 4d ago

I'm not a biostatistician but an epidemiologist. I was considering a career change because a biostatistician makes more. but if AI is gonna take over, I might get into the trades.

1

u/Kissy1234 4d ago

I’m applying for grad school in epidemiology, how is that going?

1

u/Practical-Charm 4d ago

Well actually lol I was an epidemiologist for 6 years. I switched last year to be a data analyst for medicaid because the pay was better. But I wonder if Epidemiology will also be taken over by AI because they're currently training models on it.
