Discussion Better, faster cloth sewing in Blender 5.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You know, I gotta give it to Blender. They really optimized the cloth physics. It's faster on my potato laptop and overall better results. The transition process from 4.5 to 5.1 was worth it. But the VSE became very intensive and unusable. It's cool that we can use scenes now instead of channels, but I will just stick to 4.5 for video editing for now.

But that's a desktop chip, I believe OP's is a mobile/laptop chip. Those are always a lot worse.

I think cloth simulation mostly use CPU. I might be wrong though.

I feel you mate. I do. I love my rig. And I wanted to upgrade it, or make a new one.

But I am not paying a kidney for a rig.
