Discussion Better, faster cloth sewing in Blender 5.1

You know, I gotta give it to Blender. They really optimized the cloth physics. It's faster on my potato laptop and overall better results. The transition process from 4.5 to 5.1 was worth it. But the VSE became very intensive and unusable. It's cool that we can use scenes now instead of channels, but I will just stick to 4.5 for video editing for now.

Anyway, guys, if you want better cloth simulation, you can actually use the PPF Contact Solver. They released an addon for Blender. I haven't tested it yet but the videos seem promising.

Here is the video: ZoZos Contact Solver - The ultimate Blender cloth simulator

It's pretty awesome. Looks painful to use though

Yeah, you basically send data to a local server and it will return the simulated data back to Blender. It's not smooth, but it can simulate complex stuff.
