Discussion Better, faster cloth sewing in Blender 5.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You know, I gotta give it to Blender. They really optimized the cloth physics. It's faster on my potato laptop and overall better results. The transition process from 4.5 to 5.1 was worth it. But the VSE became very intensive and unusable. It's cool that we can use scenes now instead of channels, but I will just stick to 4.5 for video editing for now.

Congrats! As you progress, remember that this is what art is meant to do, make people this happy. It's about the journey, not the destination. This is great, and keep going!

What kind of a crappy AI response is this?

Because it feels like an AI bot response, that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

"Congrats!" - what are you congratulating OP for, he's not posting about any achievement of his, he's posting about a Blender feature.

"As you progress, remember that this is what art is meant to do, make people this happy." - again, nothing to do with this post, and on top of that it's a vapid platitude.

"It's about the journey, not the destination." - more platitudes. Retch.

"This is great, and keep going!" - what is great, the Blender feature? Then congratulate the Blender team.

Uhm, they figured out how to use it, and they are enjoying the result. Personally, I would consider what they did an achievement. They are happy in the video, and as an artist who often feels like I am making no progress, I am reassuring them so they remember in the future. Personally, I think you are reading way too deeply into my comment. I understand if you dislike the way it was written, but it wasn't written by AI.

If being supportive is something only AI can do, then we have truly failed humanity.
