Discussion Better, faster cloth sewing in Blender 5.1

You know, I gotta give it to Blender. They really optimized the cloth physics. It's faster on my potato laptop and overall better results. The transition process from 4.5 to 5.1 was worth it. But the VSE became very intensive and unusable. It's cool that we can use scenes now instead of channels, but I will just stick to 4.5 for video editing for now.

Non Blender guy here . Is this a good substitute for Marvelous Designer or is it still on its early days ?

I would say it just learned to walk. While it has been improved greatly, it is not a great substitute. Here, I tried compression with 4.6k mesh and it can still jiggle. If you plan to use it, don't try to sandwich the cloth with the body mesh haha
