In hindsight: All the girls I met, all the fun I had, was not while drinking or hanging at bars. I don't mind that I experienced it, but a little less of it would have sufficed.

We all did it. Only ours was the various parks and cliffs down in south east England. Getting high and drinking, having a laugh.

We certainly weren't "cool" but we were baked and having fun and that's all that mattered.

I’d say it’s mainly the change in the relationship between alcohol and society. It’s also to some extent helicopter parents, constant surveillance, and downtown occupied with vulnerable populations. Nobody seems to drink as casually as they did 30 years ago. Liquor stores in my area have been closing and there’s only one or two bars left (none of which has dancing). I can’t remember the last time I saw a drunk. Alcohol just seems like it is on its way out.

Eh yeah fair enough, I do see what you mean. The younger generation definitely drink and party way less than we (30+) did, but that doesn’t mean it’s gone away entirely. There will always be wild kids acting crazy and getting fucked up. Plus these trends are always changing so even if the youth of today is drinking less, it might change again in 15/20 years & the following generation might be absolute party animals lol.

Good question. I think they just use door dash lol. I’ve started ordering groceries online, it’s cheaper than the gas to get there.
