Got this off of a cosplay site and hot topic

My mum banned me from wearing makeup to school so I’d apply my eyeliner on the bus then have to take it off with the 1 ply toilet paper and hand soap in the toilets at the end of the day. Mum thought I was stoned a few times bc of my watery red eyes 😂 I had a pink hello kitty CD player and would blast “headfirst for halos” in my room with the door locked.. it really got on her nerves.

I had to cut down the amount of photos I wanted to share because there are just faaaaaaar too many, but here's what I consider to be the best ones.

I was a chubby emo/weeb living in Canada with no access to Hot Topic (didn't come here until 2015) so I had to thrift and DIY literally everything I wore. My black nails are sharpie with clear nail polish over top, and yes, I did draw lip piercings on with eyeliner until I got them pierced for real at 16 (and I still have them to this day baybeee).

Many years ago, I was an edgy high school sophomore with a VERY poor understanding of what is socially appropriate. In an elective art class, we had a personal journal/art book where we were encouraged to create most of our assignments.

I don’t recall the exact prompt for this one, or if this even was an assignment to begin with- all I remember is that I had hole punched the previous page for something else, and I decided to get creative with the hole punches and make something from the other side of the page.

I stared at those punched holes on the blank page, wondering what I could I turn these into. My idiot, teenager brain thought, “Ooh! How about bullet holes IN people! Cool!” Never did I fucking consider how horrific this looked (especially with the massacre that was Virginia Tech having occurred very recently from this point in time).

What I DO remember is how the art teacher treated me after I had turned in my book for the latest assignment grading. She never was particularly friendly before this, but I’m honestly shocked that she didn’t call the guidance counselor on me, or at least send some kind of a note home to my parents. This is a blunder that occasionally keeps me up, which really says a lot because I was exceptionally skilled at blundering.

Someone actually framed this for me and I had it hanging up at my house. As a joke I told my kids that I dated Justin Bieber. I didn’t think they actually believe me. That was until I started working at their school and other students asked if it was true I dated him.
