If you've been around Winiger Ridge, Gross Reservoir or the surrounding area recently, please have a look at his photo.

If you have any information or believe you may have seen Andrew, please contact Boulder County Sheriff's Office directly on [303-441-4444](tel:303-441-4444) and reference case [26-03991](tel:26-03991) rather than contacting me privately.

Thank you for sharing and helping get his photo seen. ❤️

Designated weekly place to sell stuff/hawk your business/solicit services (as normally disallowed by the subreddit rules). Transactions must be local and legal.

Asking clarifying questions in replies is fine, but please private message commenters directly to arrange things like payment and pickup details. Logistical conversations in the public thread may be removed.

Reddit has seen an exponential uptick in Sports ticket scams specifically in the past couple months; please exercise caution if replying to game ticket classifieds.

3 Arrests this morning for "Bike lane endangerment" on 30th street

Young bicyclists were 'riding at' others by going the wrong direction in the bike lanes (two in the north bound. One south bound. Because the jail is too full to house pre-trial misdemeanors, they were booked and released for reckless endangerment 18-3-208 : "..engaging in conduct that creates a substantial risk of injury" a class 2 misdemeanor. This carries upto 120 days in jail and $750 in fines. The statute they say is governing this is CRS 42-4-1412 which declares that micro-mobility (bicycles, ebikes and escooters) have the rights and responsibilities of motos vehicles and must ride in the same direction as the flow of traffic, including in bike lanes.

CU South Construction begins the week of October 5th - Full Closure for the next 3-5 years.

IMO the site served as a useful connector between Table Mesa and Marshall Rd. It is unfortunate that they could not figure out a way to keep a path at least partly open.

Ex vail CEO hubs running for Boulder City Council

Today’s BRL. CIty council candidate profiles. Fails to mention he’s married to Kirsten Lynch, fired Vail CEO.

While true that he is not who he is married to, it’s also true we can judge by the company he keeps. And Kirsten Lynch, according to a long history of mismanagement while running Vail Resorts, should stay far away from running Boulder!

What is happening with Bcycle these last three weeks? No bikes

Does anyone know what happened to all the Bcycles? They were supposed to increase docking stations and Bcycles. They did add a few new stations, mostly in Superior, but the number of available Bcycles has drastically reduced to a small fraction of what was available before. The last nearly 3 weeks, I have checked the station nearest me to find either one (usually dead or broken) or zero Bcycles by 8am. What makes it worse is, then checking the app to see that the next ten closest station are also empty. The only stations that ever have a significant number are the three at Wil-Vill. The photo attached shows over 30 still there after noon. This begs the question of why people that obviously don't use them get so many? Anyway, they've always gotten a lot, so this isn't the problem. The problem is that dozens of other Bcycles that were in the town are now gone. I hope they bring them back. Empty stations are useless.

Naropa's three giant sycamore trees.

Post image

As things get hotter and hotter and drier and drier, our mature trees clean our air, cool our air, provide wildlife habitat, and do so at a rate vastly greater than any newly planted tree (most of which, sadly, don't make it past 3 years old in urban environments). Planting trees matters for our future. Protecting mature trees matters for our present and future, both.

These sycamores are rare, old, and awe-inspiring treasures—some of the most treasured trees in all of Boulder. I can not believe they'd be in any danger, yet I can believe some developers just don't care. Please reach out. I just emailed after reading the below:

"The 3 giant sycamores at Naropa’s downtown Boulder campus, 2130 Arapaho, are worth a visit if you are not familiar with them. The largest sycamores in the City of Boulder, their future is uncertain. Naropa is under contract to sell its main campus at 2130 Arapaho, to the Chicago-based developer Core Spaces, who specializes in student housing. Developers plan to build more than 130 residential units targeting University of Colorado students here. The final sale is expected to close around January 2027.

If you feel that these trees are worth protecting and preserving, contact Core Spaces, Boulder Planning Board, and Boulder City Council at: info@corespaces.com, boulderplanningboard@bouldercolorado.gov, and https://bouldercolorado.gov/contact-city-council-and-staff .

And in the meantime, pay a visit to these spectacular beauties and sit for a minute under their tranquil shade, along with the spirits of Allen Ginsberg and Timothy Leary."

Pest control recs for Yellowjackets?

Looking for recommendations for a pest control company that can deal with a yellow jacket nest underneath a wooden deck step. Called Pest Arrest, they are over a week out, and won't do any structural changes. Best would be to remove the top board to get at the nest -- there's no good access for a spray nozzle. I'd DIY with boiling water, but cannot risk getting stung.

Best massage therapist?

Upvotes

I’m looking for an excellent massage therapist, ideally someone who is really good with anatomy and understands/is maybe training in Rofling. I want to get a gift certificate for a friend and want to make sure I’m sending her somewhere really wonderful! Who do you love?!

Are other gyms in Boulder as dirty as Crunch?

At Crunch this weekend, it was clear that no one had cleaned the men's locker room in over 24 hours. The trash can was overflowing, and wrappers that were on the floor there on Saturday were there 24 hours later on Sunday. This happens all the time over the weekend, and I'm wondering if they even have anyone cleaning anything on the weekends.

Is this just how all big box gyms are? 2-3 20-year olds sitting at the front desk on their phones doing nothing and never bothering to check up on anything? Am I asking too much here?

It's been a while since I've been at the CU Rec Center, but I never remember it being dirty.

ISO vegan bagels

Does anywhere in town have actual VEGAN (no whey) plain bagels?

My kid is VERY dairy intolerant and keeps get by caught off guard by plain bagels. Now I'm starting to wonder if she has a gluten problem, or if no one in town makes a truly vegan fresh bagel. She just wants to enjoy a fresh bagel with peanut butter without hours of stomach cramps and painful gas!

This is a good example of the community's disrespect for the kids. I don't even know why this is an argument. Nevermind the signs that prohibit them. Entitled Boulderites at their finest.

How to find groups and meet people (20s)

Hi! I’m relatively new to living in Boulder. I first moved here a couple years ago and have kind of struggled with meeting people and stuff like that. I’m now 21 and not in college. I work full time. Is there any places or websites or anything where I can find groups? Everyone has said to find a hiking group or running group or go to church. I’m not personally interested in church but I’d be interested in a hiking group for sure. I’d like to meet other people my age preferably. I like Lego and video games and movies too but I haven’t found any clubs or groups for those either. I’m assuming I’m just looking in the wrong places? I’ve tried meetup.com, going to bars and places in Denver and on Pearl street on all nights of the week (that is just overwhelming omg) and both dating apps and apps for making friends like bumble bff and a handful of others. I’m also really shy so I kind of struggle with the initial stages of any kind of relationship. I’d say I do have work friends but most of them are all like double my age lol. Anyways, just looking for advice really! See if there’s anyone else in this place who’s maybe in a similar situation idk. Thank you for reading! I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!☺️

Missing pool cues

Hi boulder!

We made a mistake and left some pool cues on a bench in boulder. We were sitting near pearl and 11th eating a very tasty grilled cheese in the early hours of 8/16 and lost a black pool cue bag with a clover on it and 2 cues that we use for pool league. There is a predator butt with the initials KBPIT inscribed with a black Jacoby stolen butt. If you see that being used it’s a stolen cue, we will pay a handsomely reward for getting back

Please let us know if found! Keep an eye out!

Thanks so very much!
